Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I've begun to associate lime with Brazilian, and the Brazilian high reminds me of the Columbians I used to have. The smelll ... not so sure. It's like you say - there's a certain smell from those days. But I was surprised to get the lime from several Brazilians. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Interesting. The whole line came from Pakistan/Afghanistan I'm told....hundreds of years ago at least...perhaps thousands if you believe the Egyptians and/or the Chinese visited South America before the Spanish explorers. Perhaps that's where the lemon/lime came from? It's not like the fruity smells of Asian sativas, and it's different from Mexican sativa's too.

I definitely saw a bit of indica in veg, but they're totally expressing Sativa now under 11/13.

This Tikal I'm growing (Guatemala x Kush Haze) reminds me of some of your pics. It has those same dark fat shiny leaves.

I believe in the so called long count calendar. To me it means Humans have been around long enough to notice the Ages and then record it. I think we were much more prone to move about and explore than is generally accepted. The Golden Age...what was that like?

Since we are on the subject of how awesome coco is, I'm looking for some suggestions. I have a friend to trade a couple plants with, and was going to do 2-3 mothers, but his are in coco. Is there any problem with upcanning to DBHB soil? I don't even know what I'd feed the damn things. I mean I know, but I ain't buyin shit. I don't mind taking cuttings off them, I know its not ideal. Maybe I have him keep his stuff and I just take cuttings and create our own mom.

Thoughts? What would you brixxers do?

So I've got 4 phenotypes of Colombian Red (Punto Rojo) in bloom right now. I'll get pictures of these tomorrow. But I thought I'd just share a bit about them and how I"m looking at growing them.

The first pheno was the fastest plant to show sex. It was topped in veg at the second true node and now has 4 co-dominant tops. Interestingly, the nodes are not yet alternating, but the pistil on the pre-flowers are large and easily seen. The stems on this pheno are the weirdest things I've ever seen. They're thick around, like a Sharpie towards the base and like a pencil towards the top and they're hollow and stiff as can be. I've never seen a plant like this before, but it's as healthy as can be.

The next pheno is similar, but the stems aren't as thick and the leaves are shaped a bit differently. The nodes are starting to alternate on this one.

The third pheno has normal, strong woody stems and alternating nodes for a while now. It's not quite as tall as the first two.

The final pheno is short, with thick strong stems....but not freakish like on the first pheno.

Each have a very interesting smell that I can't quite put my finger on....but it brings back very happy summer evenings from my youth. I haven't had this stuff since the 1970's.....and the plants look amazing.

Pics tomorrow!

Looking forward to the beautiful pics, Doc.
Are these 4 phenos from same mom's seeds or different?

Take cuttins and slam em in kit soil and after harvest bring some to your buddy to compare and laugh really hard at his misfortunes...j/k :)
Take cuttings bro! :)

When I research cannabis...wait...I don't need to! Doc and Graytail do all that for me! Thanks guys :)

Take a cutting and when it roots, put it in HB.

Are these 4 phenos from same mom's seeds or different?

I have a seeded cola....so these seeds are all from the same seeded cola, which is from Punto Rojo. The pheno's are all pretty close when you look at them without a trained eye. As things go, it might be there are only 2 or 3 pheno's as the plants all change when in bloom.

All the clones rooted quickly.

SHARING TIME!

so the other day i was lucky enough to stop by the Doc's grow mecca and see his "Dr's office" and wow! very nice place Doc! The Doc was nice enough to share a couple bowls.

cant say i remember much about getting home afterwards but im pretty sure i floated home on a cloud...

first, ive never smoked a true %100 sativa before or at least wasn't aware of it if i had. The best way to describe the high is very clear minded and focused but my body was deff. stoned. I think i enjoyed the Paki most of all. The smell was just like the Doc was saying about the first time he heard hotel california or some really good pink floyd. it was a little difficult to discern all the different flavors and highs since we basically had a lighting round and burned about 5 full bowls!

ive never heard about high brix before i started reading this journal but seeing the results up close and personal i can deff say the Doc is doing something new with cannabis that ive never seen before and it seems to change the final outcome of the buds. i didnt buy the Doc's kit because i have my room and soil ready to go but i would not mind giving it a go next time!

thanks again Doc!

Docs giving tours? Damn I was just in that neck of the woods this weekend

I should add that HK came with a copy of his Prop215 Dr's recommendation and that both he and I are legal med patients conducting ourselves well within the boundaries of the law, as individuals growing our own medicine.

I'm not a clone store or a retail store.......nothing of the sort.

Are you from CA Toobz?
