Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Question of the day. (from dutty)

So I'm about to pull my first docs kit plant down and it looks amazing. So here's my question

I want to reuse the soil what's the BEST way to do this. I plan on placing in a bin chopping the dog piss out of it with my shovel. Then remove root ball and throw in compost. Place in bin and????? Just water? Roots? I know it's probably in here but figured this may be of interest to others.

dutty, i have had pretty interesting results with cutting the stem at soil base, amending with EWC, Amendment and Roots..planting on top of the root ball....try it. :)

I will run some of the ACE sativas, my crosses of ACEs and ACEs, on root balls. I want to see if the ACE tent, The Jungle :), wasn't tamed like other plants were, due to the ACE plants were planted on 50% new HB soil and 50% second run HB soil and no rootball.
Would make sense, smaller plants, due to less soil. Lots and lots of thinking goes on with the PEX x JH combo ;)

I have been thinking about this. Did you use your tiered setup with this ace jungle or just straight into big pots. If you went right into the big pots this time my theory is your tiered method is having a bonsai effect on them with the multiple smaller pots stacked on top and the roots only being able to come out the bottom of each pot.

This is just my :passitleft: theory :)

Makes sense, when you continually keep them in the min size pot they need at the time they think they dont have much room to get big. You throw them into a 10 gal and there like fucking  and go nuts  Of course the soil full of roots probably contributes to this but I have a feeling the pots are a bigger factor.

The cool thing is even though they dont think they have enough soil to get big they have lots be to be all they can be for the size they are because you just keep giving them more as they get older. Now that I can flower as many plants as I want I am going to be going for more very small plants instead of a couple monsters like before so I might have to try this out somehow :)

Haha no I would not call the Ace tent dwarfed. Im talking about the kick ass willie you grew that stayed so small but was a monster bud compared to how the ace strains are growing :)

Here's what I saw today. The weird one is Willie Nelson....quite different than Ziggy's, but has lovely papaya smell. Also some washed Champagne, ready to hang.

My plan is to veg for 5-6 weeks I will finish in 7 gallon pots so if I am in 3 gallons(regular soil) going to 7's(hibrix) a week before I flip would that a waste of soil and nutrients
