Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Sorry guys I can't remember which of you make seeds, but I have a back cross question.

I had a legendary one of a kind WW that was the best I have smoked this century.

I made fem seeds with tiresias mist of an 8? generation clone. And I also pollinated one with Cheese female pollen.

I think Doc mentioned a while ago when I asked about the WW seeming to lose some vigor him mentioning growing her outside to rejuvenate the genes. (or at least I think it was Doc)

Question I have is how to best rejuvenate and back cross. (to be done outside)

Should I use the t-mist on the WW8 female and pollinate the Widow x Cheese (very vigorous so far) female, or should I t-mist the WC and pollinate the WW?
Or would it matter?

either way I end up with 3/4 WW genes right?

Of course if I t-mist the WW I will self pollinate her and also pollinate the WC with her fem pollen ending up with WWxWW=100%WW and WCxWW=75%WW

Do some research on plant cell culture cloning or Tissue cell cloning. this procedure will reboot your genetics back to their original potency :) Stronger than the cut you initially received :)

No offense, but I'm growing in a closet, not a science lab.

I won't be messing with any tissues, just want to know which would be better candidate to use the mist on.

Don't need a lab. Just a lil know how. I used to do this in my dorm room back in my University days. All you need is a sharp blade a hot stove and couple ingredients that are easy to come by and your good to go. No offense was taken mate. All the best with it :Namaste:

I'd mist the white widow. Go for the female pollen that way when you cross it back and seed you will have a s1 from the seeded clone. So if possible mist her then let the clones if you have open pollinate around the mother. Then take those feminized seeds and grow out. They will be fairly stable.

I'm not familiar with t mist I use colloidal silver.

Re: High Brix Kit Instructions

Not at all! Please do so.

Hopefully, I'll be able to update them in the near future. Nothing will drastically change, but I'll include a few new tips and methods that seem to be working, especially on the "heavy feeders."

I just posted a new blog entry about your kit at: The Basics of Doc Bud's High Brix Blend Kit w/ Instructions

Please read through it and make sure that I don't have any misinformation. Thanks!

Yeah...I knew it. I had to tell him to not use Brix foliar and to use a different drench.....squashes and melons take a different soil profile than seed/fruit bearing crops.

I have several large scale vegetable growers using my gear. One guy in particular supplies his 3 restaurants with High Brix produce.

Since we're on the subject..... How big a container do you think is good for a tomato plant in your kit? I have a few 15 gallon smart pots that I want to use in my garden. One for melons,, and another I was thinking a tomato plant, perhaps a cherry.... just thinking I've got the soil.... and more then I can use based on supplies.....

I think a 15 would produce a few nice tomatos. They're sweet and delicious!

Hey guys, one thing I am still a little unclear on is the drenches. Do I apply the drenches by just watering from the top like normal? I read the directions but didn't really see anything about this. Or do I dunk it in a bigger bucket filled with the solution? Sorry if this is a dumb question lol.

For a long time, I only top watered everything. Then I started dunking/soaking small veg plants, letting the dry out before the next dunk/soak. (just to the point where they begin to wilt....not when they're half dead) Dunk/dry is a GREAT way to build thick, strong stems, robust roots and relatively few leaves.

It's much more difficult to dunk large pots, so I now use a saucer under them and like to put half the drench slowly down the top, and the other half into the saucer so the soil wicks it up.

The dunk/soak method is described with pictures in the "In the Lab" thread. Probably buried in there somewhere, but I think it's early on.

There's nothing wrong with watering from the top.
