Its always a nice thing to put some music, grab a bowl and get updated on this thread. Superb job in your garden Doc! Way to go.
I would like to know where did you get that Colombian Red from. Is it from a local breeder? Does he deliver internationally (to the most far away corner of the continent :laughtwo:)?
I would love to grow it and those 11 blades look interesting. That strain is kind of a legend here, the famous Punto Rojo.
Cheers :volcano-smiley:

Since this is my first rodeo and I recently up-potted from 1 gal. to 7 gal., I'm wondering about the drench schedule. I drenched well when I moved them to the larger pots, but with all that new moist real estate, I get the impression they won't need another drench for ... weeks???

For those of you who've done this a few times, how long has it been before you need to water/drench right after the move to 7 gal. cans? TY

A friend brought a seeded cola back from Colombia. That's how I got it! It's the real deal, from Punto Rojo....all seeded up just like back in the day.

Mine won't be seeded this time.

In your situation, I recommend a light watering between drenches. Drench on the heavy side to compensate for the increased metabolism of an outdoor plant.

Try to keep the soil moist---slightly moist, not wet---between drenching.

I should have asked this ^ above ^.
By drenching on the heavy side, do you mean like 1 oz., rather than 1/2 oz., or even heavier than that?

I'd start off with 1 oz. and as the plants get larger and the pots get smaller go up to 1.5 etc.

I'm not ready to include it in the instructions yet, because I'm still testing it along with a couple others, but I'm finding that one or perhaps two really strong Transplant drenches are helpful. By "really strong" I mean 1 cup per 5 gallons.....on 10-12 week strains, a single drench like this seems to work very well.

On stuff that goes longer, another one might be beneficial. Note: only with Transplant! Don't try this with GE or Cat....you'll burn them.

Gotcha - will do 1 oz. for now.
I'm only growing two plants in "the kit". That means each one will be getting 1/2 oz. while in 7 gal. pots. Once they are ready for the 25 gal. pots, I'll see how it's been going.

I've been dunking my 1gals at regular strength feedings with this kind of schedule:

drench/tea
water/transplant
water/transplant

repeat

Doc suggested that for dunking I increase strength up to 4oz of drench for 12 plants. As I've been feeding on the weak side for dunking, yesterday they got water with 2oz of transplant. They used most of the 5gal I mixed up.

Next feeding is a Growth Energy Drench, and I'm planning on a 4oz dunk. My math says 10 oz tea goes with that?!

The last couple of posts in my journal discuss this, and I just wanted to point it out. I'm beginning to understand that if you get the basics of what we are doing, there is alot of room to fine tune the program to your strains, personal work habits, environment, etc.

Also its been a bit on the DL but things are ramping up, so come check it out! Fun and exciting things happening the next few weeks!

Oy! That doesn't sound right to me, but I'm on my first round with this. 10 oz of Tea is more than the full bottle in a single kit.
I'll come on over and lend moral support, if nothing else. :high-five:

you'll find I had a similar response!

I need more DBHB juices on my shelf anyway. I was plenty happy with what I got but lets go ahead and assume that I need a lifetime supply.

fwiw: right now I got 12 in 1's. They been in the 1s about 20 days, yesterday had their 2nd water since trans drench at up-pot.

What is the reasoning and benefits of a very heavy transplant feeding doc?
