Doc, I'm so sorry and devastated to hear this.....jesus.......
I was warned going in. I don't blame the lab. I checked them out and they were a professional operation and reminded me of a pathology lab in many ways.
They couldn't "act" until HT gave them the changed numbers.
Here's how it worked from my perspective:
1. I show up to the lab with my entry all bagged up per directions. 10 bags holding exactly 4 grams each....unmarked....but placed into a larger bag with my info on it.
2. HT recorded the name and my info and placed a pre-printed, numbered sticker on the main bag AND each individual bag. No more name, now there's a number, but the main bag still had my info. I watched them do this.
3. Off I go, and when I get to the cup, I notice they have changed my entry from Indica to Hybrid....which is something they mention happens from time to time in the FAQ.
4. I hear nothing until last night....a week later than I'm told I should hear something....and it's the wrong info!
So, my questions are:
1. When did HT change the numbers.
2. Why did HT change the numbers.
3. If HT knew who the winners were Sunday, presumably they must have been able to match the numbers to the names AFTER all the testing, including the lab testing was finished and recorded. There is no other option, they must have been able to match names and numbers to get the winners, right?
4. So, why did it take another 10 days----and this following 2 weeks between the drop-off and the cup----for HT to get the lab the numbers? Would not the lab have already had the numbers, since the numbers were placed on the entries AT THE LAB?
This stinks! It could be as simple as this: "Judges: the hand-written numbers are the winners. We'll sort out the lab results to make sure it happens, you just make sure the hand-written numbers are the winners."
