Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Fellas i suffered a short circuit today. My #1 lady was due for a brix foliar and a cat drench. I carefully mixed a small batch of foliar @ 1ml to ounce proportions and let her have it. Then i warmed up a gal of aerated snow water added 1.5mls tea, 3mls transplant and 6mls....brix foliar. I used the whole gallon to drench her.

Any thoughts on the effect this might have? Should i proceed with an actual proper cationic drench when it is dry enough for a drench?

Or in true stoner fashion should i just forget i made an error and give her a '2nd cat drench' next watering.

Appreciate your thoughts.

Ok, I did some math ...

Gallon = 128 oz. Foliar concentration is 128 ml per gallon. You added 6 ml.

I'm guessing it's not an issue ... ?

This is fun - kinda like a game show. And then Doc will say ... "and the answer is ... "!

HAHA amusing right! Thanks GT...WAIT i wasnt worried about the measurement i was worried that using foliar brix instead of cat drench, as a drench, might be a concern...or did you already get that???

Maybe those circuits of mine are still screwy.

Jus' sayin' 6mls probably doesn't have much effect on the soil one way or another. I'd proceed as usual. But not before I hear from Doc. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hey guys!

Things seem to be going well.. if not a bit slow. I guess I'm just used to hydro speed grows. I'm not complaining!! They are very healthy looking to me. Thanks Doc for all the advice to me and others. I topped these 1 week ago right after a GE feeding. Hit them with brix the next day and here they are 1 week later.

She has always been a stretchy girl but make no mistake, this is some righteous herb. Anyways.. she has been in the 1 gallon pot for about 20 days and I think it may be past time to transplant her into a 7 gallon smart pot. I plan on doing this on Saturday.. I will use Doc's directions upcanning of larger plants on page 55.. I'll be transplanting 3 plants. I will sprinkle Roots! in the hole and on the rootball after scoring the roots. Water in with 1/4 strength transplant (1/8th oz? then cut that in half because I will be watering only 3 plants so 1/16th oz or 2ml in 3 gallons ro water.. then hit each plant with a gallon?) correct me if I'm wrong plz!! then I will go back on auto pilot for a week then maybe do another dunk/drain... according to my cyphering.. it should be 5 gallons ro with 1/4 oz GE 2.5ml tea then dunk each of the 3 plants and drain media... What say you? :)

You'll be OK.....go ahead and add the drench at 70% strength. No need to add Tea...you already did that!

Doc, how tall were your WNs?
How long do they usually go until done?

If they didn't bend over so much, they'd be about 7 feet tall at least. Mine took 22 weeks....but they still were not done. They started at 12/12 and I slowly adjusted the photoperiod to 11/13 towards the latter half of the bloom cycle.

But I grew mine from clone. 11/13 from seed is quite different.....and I might just have to give that try.

How much perlite need per bale of promix bx doc?

<raises hand> The promix HP has ~27% perlite. Last time I checked it was about 6 gal of perlite added to BX to get roughly the same ratio as HP.

edit
1 bale = 3.8 cu/ft
3.8 cu/ft = 28.46 gallons
28.46 x 27% = 7.69 gals

So, 6 gals of perlite to a bale of BX will give roughly 21% PLUS whatever small amount is already in the BX

A clone, and it went 22 weeks?? Were those 22 weeks including how old the clones were or just from flip to harvest?
Mine are blooming, what 5 weeks old-total? give or take a few days..theyre 12-14" , but since I moved the one in the small soft pot, under the P450, maybe its now going to start its stretch, but it grew an inch or 2 in a few days since the last soil feeding. I have to measure and post pic on my thread later.

22 weeks bloom time. They just kept growing, shooting out new pistils, foxtailing, growing some more....never stopped.
