Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I've been patiently awaiting this willie harvest, looks unbelievable!

Do you know the reason why this soil extends flower time, or "sativafies" everything?

Man doc, I can't wait to become a more experienced, well rounded grower so I can grow me some willie. Soon...

Well, I'd also like to be a more experienced well rounded grower....this Willie Nelson kicks my ass. I'm not happy with it yet, as I know I can do much better. It's my favorite smoke, however. I haven't had anything different for 2 weeks now. I can't wait to try the new one, as I think it will be much better.

Regarding the soil, I don't know the exact reason why, but it's definitely a phenomenon we all experience. I can only theorize as to why, but I suspect it has something to do with genetic "switches" that turn on and off under various environmental conditions.

For example, we all know that if you stress a plant out it can sometimes respond by pushing male flowers as a response to environmental stress. In the exact same way, when the plant has a "perfect" environment it will grow female flowers that are far better than otherwise.

The High Brix soil creates an environment such that the plants express sativa traits over indica and they keep growing flowers, instead of going into senescence. Overall, all other things being equal, I'd rather the plants finished faster! However, most people who have had high brix produce will tell you they would continue to grow it even if it took twice as long.

Yep. It's just different that way.

I'm really looking forward to the Grape Ape, but I doubt I'll smoke much of it myself. I can't imagine a better strain than this Willie Nelson.

Your White Grape is one of the sexiest looking plants ever! Grats on willie, hopefully she is everything your expecting and more!

This Grape Ape sure looks amazing. I smoked an outdoor one and it's a great bud I have to say. Indica quality high balanced with nice touch of sativa's happiness :tokin:

They source of the cutting says it's "strong." But he grows it in supersoil and it doesn't look like mine! His comes out more Indica looking and it finishes in 8 weeks. I'm on week 8 right now and it's not done and the bud structure looks more like a Kush than a pure indica...so we shall see.

But it smells fantastic and there seems to be plenty of resin now, so I'll have a report on it in early October.

Hey Doc, if you can help Jamba, maybe you can help me too, since i am in the same position :)

Doc, you have me sold on your kit, but I don't know how to purchase it. I tried to message you but apparently my post count is not adequate. Many apologies if this is the incorrect way to contact you about this.

Very excited,
Jamba

I'd really like to get a clone, but it's hard to just smuggle it across the Atlantic :) But I have some seeds of Grape Ape crossed with a strain called Mendocino Mad Man that I'll be running next year. We'll see what these plants show.
