Thanks Duggan, she's a Silver Surfer Haze at end of week 2 now under a 400w LED and a 600W HPS. Grow room build is in progress - dimensions and all are on my journal. New pots are all smart pots, this was left in plastic pot to compare with previous organic grow I did of same strain. HB soil is the ProMix HP Blend by the book first run. Saving up for light mover too, next grow will include SCROG with light movers above for the HPS and LED.

Doc and other HB growers,

Just finishing week 8 of 12/12... did an Energy drench + tea on Wed. I've had "yellow" leaf tips for quite a while - I topped dressed with organic earthworm castings a few weeks ago after discovering mealy bugs and scale and the subsequent spraying for them. Other than that (the EWC) I've followed the directions closely. In the last few days I've notice "some" leaves curling up with the serrated edges turning yellowish. Pic below. Looks like it might be too much Nitrogen (from the EWC?) or a Calcium deficiency. Any thoughts would be appreciated. FYI - I flushed prior to the first Cationic drench and likewise after the second Cat drench prior to the Energy drench in week 6 of flowering. Everything else looks good: Buds are swelling, colas are filling in, lots of resin forming.

I just did some topping and LST - I basically made a scrog pattern at the top of the 7g pot with garden wire and trained the plant very early to stay under the wire until they started to go beyond the pots edge - I call it "ghetto scrog"

My guess is light Mg deficiency. A bit late for watering some epsom in without having to flush, but a little wouldn't hurt.

I've remember years ago about epsom foliar and how quick it works. Doc hasn't really mentioned it though.

Maybe wait till he chimes in, but looks like Mg to me - taco'd leaves

What have your high temps been? What are your normal daytime temps?

The Taco is nothing to worry about. The spots appear to be a combination of insect damage and foliar residue, and is that a piece of webbing I see by the purple petiole?

My guess....and I repeat it's a guess until I know more about your temps, etc. is that you had a few days when it got very hot and possibly quite dry or some combination of the two (slightly hot/very dry) and you developed a slight potassium issue, along with plant stress because it was fighting off the scale and mealy bugs and perhaps mites?

But the buds are good! You'll harvest nice weed!

Sometime with different strains you need a lil more water in between feedings too. Ive noticed this in some of my own. My first grow looked just like that at the end. Youll learn! :)

Doc, daytime temps range from 79 to 83. May have an occasional spike to 85 or 86. Night, upper 60s low 70s. Humidity is mid 40s with some fluctuations (higher)when watering , etc.

No, it is not webbing: dog hair! No, the dog doesn't help me in the grow room - just a random hair that I've carried in! No mites that I'm aware of either.

A couple of weeks ago I did let the top soil get to dry - rather crusty. Plants never showed any signs of wilting. I'm now paying closer attention to the soil and keeping it moist.

Here's a big picture view. The cupped leaf photo is from the cola that is center left.

Growing three strains: GSC, Cannatonic and Jilly Bean. It's the Jilly Bean showing the cupped leaves and yellow (serrated) tips.

Do you have a journal going? I am interested in how the GSC and Jillybean turn out in the kit. Nice strain selection and nice plants :thumb:
