Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I've got 2 grape apes in kit soil and they are loving it. They are half way through week 2 of bloom, so I'm excited too see how mine compare to these. A question for anyone that grows outside? I have 3 Banana Kush outside in kit soil and the only pest I'm having problems with are banana slugs. I've put Diatomaceous earth on the ground around the outside of the pots and check daily, but still find a few every so often. Any ideas or suggestions you or anyone might have would be great.

I've seen people use copper tubing around plants, beer traps, etc. for slugs. Haven't needed myself but maybe ask duggan what worked the best for him.

When you re-charge those slugs should move on. I doubt they'll cause any problem.

Im also adding 2 90w g8led red ufos to my 900w mars ll at the flip which should be in 3 weeks. Im gonna let them get settled in first then release the kracken! Lol. I got a new fan and filter and some trays that fit the 10 gals just beautifully. My 4x4 should be full of exquisite cannabis by the end of this run. Wish me luck kit growers :)

Hey bro...your gonna love those ufo's. I've bin using two, myself. They work great when hung beside your "main" light. One on iether side sort of thing.I'm lookin at getting two of there 240 w bloom only lights (300$ each) because last time they got so big the light's "footprint" My budmaster 675xg (the one BID tested) was barely doing it! I could grow them smaller but since i only have three crops a yr., of only two plants, i need a big yield to get me thru,ya know. Cheers pal!:blunt:

Doc, an idea for you... Maybe you can send a kit, to the P.O.M. winners to have them try HB growing, and experience the difference. :)

Ya eh Ziggy...what a thought. I've tried my best over there to explain the "kit" to people but untill they do some research ,or try Doc's stuff ,to them ,it's just another fly by night method! cheers bro!:high-five:

Doc, an idea for you... Maybe you can send a kit, to the P.O.M. winners to have them try HB growing, and experience the difference. :)

I've thought about this....definitely easy to do. But I've decided against it for several reasons.

I've built 3 businesses from nothing. Each of these 3 businesses are profitable. During my entire lifetime I've spent exactly 0.00 dollars on advertising of any kind....I've always functioned 100% on word-of-mouth.

My strategy for doing that is to simply focus of quality and service. It works. Every time.

Also, something I was taught a long, long time ago is that there must always be an even exchange in a business relationship: IE the buyer and seller are both happy and are both able to get "more than they paid for" with the transaction.

Giving away something that has value will not work in the long term. Never does. When you give it for free, there's no even exchange and it becomes impossible to establish value....which means you must resort to advertising, enticements, "specials" etc, and people compare the price of your product to the price of others that may or may not be a worthy comparison.

I prefer to constantly upgrade and improve the quality of the product and rely on happy customers who understand several things:

1. I work my ass off to do prompt shipping, support and service.
2. The quality of what I'm producing is in another class.....and many of my customers not only know this, but are duplicating and exceeding what I'm able to do.
3. I provide all of the above at a FAIR price. No gimmicks, no money wasted on advertising, no "freebies." Fairness, honesty, integrity, service. Period.

My dad had all kinds of great sayings, one of my favorite was, "Excellence opens doors."

If I can provide you with a means to grow what I'm starting to call "Cannabis that opens doors" for a price that comes in much LOWER than many of the nutrient lines that aren't anywhere near as good, and I can do that in a way that makes both me and you happy with each and every exchange.....

That spells success!

I'll never build an empire this way....and I have no intention of doing so. But I really like getting 50-1 happy emails and sincere "thank you's" from people who feel they got more than their money's worth.....and all I have to do to get that is try to do the very best I can do and share it with others......with them paying a faction of what I had to pay to learn it all......and they tell someone, and they tell someone.....

Next thing you know I'm looking at hiring someone to help and that's BEFORE I even have a storefront of any kind.

So, here's what you can expect from me:

1. Nothing but the best in quality. Never anything less than the pinnacle. If I find something better than what I'm using, I'll immediately adopt it. I'm never threatened by something or someone who is better......I seek out and embrace such things.

2. Competitive pricing due to low overhead of having no advertising and no loss leaders. The quality speaks louder than the adverts.

3. Fast service, fast replacement of damaged goods.

Get this....I'm looking at LOWERING the price for the kit in the near future. As you know, I also provide everything in bulk at the lowest possible price as well.

If you can afford to give it away there.....it's only because someone over here is paying more than they should to make up the difference. I don't want anyone paying more than they should....whether its me or you.

Mutually beneficial....that's the ticket.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

When I decided to start growing over a year ago, my baseline priority was to grow the best cannabis I could, and if it was better than what I could buy, it would be a success because that would present me with an ROI (that in turn allows be to better cope with buyer's remorse). Having said that, and also having gotten 2 successful grows in the can, I am continuing my mission to improve and this is the path. Of that, I'm convinced.

I can also vouch for Doc's service. I ordered on a Sunday and had my kit sitting on my doorstep when I got home Wednesday. Since I had to order in my promix HP, I have a few days to read up. There's an encyclopedia in these threads and I feel like I did in 7th grade when I finally "got" algebra and it was so easy afterwards. I'm jazzed and I haven't even popped a bean yet.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Greetings to Doc and his Army of high brix growers,

I have spent months reading various journals on this 420 website and stumbled upon Doc's teachings. I feel I have earned the equivalent of a masters degree in growing by soaking up every word of both Doc and all of you high brix growers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, each of you.

I am one to research and plan before I leap. As yet, I have not thrown one bean in the dirt, but I will be buying a kit in the very near future and get it cooking before I begin my first fall grow. Your concepts are the only way to go.

It is intimidating trying to put the list together of everything I will need, getting my rooms set up, etc. What all of you have done for me is create a roadmap of not only "how to" but "how to do it right the first time and kick some serious butt".

I have a horticulture background and your principles are right on the money. All of your pictures prove the concepts are sound by the lush, healthy greenery and frosty deliciousness. What more does one need? Your proof is served up in all of your pudding for all the world to see.

Word of mouth is indeed the most potent and powerful means of communication. I want to shout from my roof top out here in the rural country how great the high brix method is, even though only the wildlife will hear me.

Thanks to all of you and cheers!

Hello Doc, you have an excellent product line, and if your consumers Read the Instructions everthing works out Fantastically , much like a computer, do you want to read through 600 pages of a users manual or ask someone that knows. So Doc, have you ever considered a Canadian franchise ?

Looking forward to your reply
& have a good 1, Bulldog

I'm way too small to talk franchise, bro. We'll see what happens when I actually have a website and all that. I'm headed to the Southern Hemisphere, to a country that just fully legalized it. (with restrictions) Excellence opens doors, and I hear a few little things here and there that leads me to believe I might have some business in Cannabis down there. Certainly the High Brix tech is going with me, and not just for Cannabis. They are a family farm based culture and everything is grass fed and the produce is very high quality to begin with.

I've got some ideas about broadcasts and other applications that can take the forage to the next level, which will take the beef to the next level....etc. The sweet atmosphere of legalization is what is drawing me. There's a new land of opportunity.

BTW, on another note, I harvested the first Willie Nelson today. Easy 8 oz on her....fluffy, sweet smelling bud, and more resious than I thought. Once we started working with it to pluck leaves we got sticky fingers. It still smells like papaya, but a bit weaker on the fruit and a tad more emphasis on "sweet" today. I haven't sprayed it for about a month, so I just gently rinsed it off in 2 buckets of RO and the first bucket still got dirty.

But man, the smell sure came out! Half of it went to the shatter guy, and the rest is probably going to rolled into joints.

I have high hopes for this crop.......21 weeks. It's not worth doing again if this doesn't kick some ass....but the sample I took almost 4 weeks ago had some serious power and attitude, so hopefully that's been muted a bit.

Doc that whole new land of opportunity is awesome. I think is amazing that you able to live the dream. It's cool that you share it with us.

That Willie shatter is going to be some chatty shit. I think its going to be the best shatter you've vaped.

Everything Doc has ever told me (from growing to dieting) has been nothing but 100% truth, if you look into the direction he points you a whole new world opens.
