re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I LOVE that lime green sugar coated look. Gorgeous Doc! :)

That's the Paki! That lime green look is what happens when nitrogen fixing bacteria in the root zone start feeding the plant. The Cat drench required them to feed N, as there aren't nitrates in the drench. Growth Energy is full of nitrate, so the shade of green will vary depending on the feed.

Beautiful...beautiful plants, Doc!

Thanks! Things are shaping up really well this round. The new Roots product is working very well!

That color is alive indeed :Hookah:
Do you keep high N level till the end of flowering or you flush it out later?

More pics. Things are going well this round. Brix is 13-14 all around. I'm finishing up the second Cat Drench on the Paki's. Brix should go up to the 16-17 range after the first feeding with Growth Energy next week. These plants are looking like 4-5 oz each.

Doc, First grow. Haven't check Brix level, but things are looking good (see below). Question re your statement above: Your instructions indicated just H2O after the 2nd Cat Drench. Are you doing Engergy after the H20 or??

I think it's first-grow-itis, but I haven't had the opportunity to use Energy yet (except for the Root Drench early on)! It seems like every time Energy comes due in the watering technique, it's time to transplant, switch to 12/12, etc. so I haven't been able to fit an Energy feeding in. Your watering schedule for flowering doesn't call for Energy, though Curso's does. Any advice going forward from week 5 on?

I did a 2nd Cat drench yesterday (middle of week 4) so the "schedule" calls for H2O next.

Very nice bro what strain is that? Looks very frosty already. Good job. If you just finished the cat drench, give her a good watering (Wouldn't be a terrible idea to use 1/4 strength transplant now either.) then hit with energy next time.

That's your first grow? :bravo:

You're doing GREAT! By the looks of things, I'd do a light watering with 1/4 oz Transplant after the Cat Drench.....Then go Energy.

VERY VERY NICE!!!

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I'm very happy to report that the tweaking of the Roots product has "solved" the borderline mag deficiency issue we were having on some strains. As many of you know, we'd like a 10-1 ratio of CA to Mg for most crops. It seems our favorite plant likes more like a 7-1.....so I've messed with Epsom salts, K-mag...even sea water, trying to get the mag issue dealt with.

Adding it into the Roots product was the key. Now the critters can digest it, get used to eating it and deal it off to the plants for a hit of that sweet exudate.....These plants would normally have had a small "taco" of the leaf and even a tad of interveinal chlorosis by now......SOLVED!

Sorry about the many pics in a short time. I'm just stoked that even after all this time we can still make it better than before.

Hey Doc...do me a favor...

NEVER apologize for putting up too many pictures in ANY amount of time...

We all love any nice plant/bud porn...but yours' ranks near the top most of the time...:thumb:

I drool for hours whenever you put up pic's of the Lemon Paki or Champagne...:yummy:

Damn...Fall cannot get here soon enough for me and my pending membership into the High Brix Club.

By fall, I'll have the new OG drench hopefully. That might be a good time to start!

There is one problem with this High Brix stuff.....people start getting mad when you run out of something, IE Paki. A good run of Paki turns normally laid-back, happy stoners into greedy weed snobs who turn their noses up at everything else.
