Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Also guys I’m having a little problems with 3 of my Maui Waui plants.

They have been in the 1 Gal pots for 9-10 weeks now since germination. So roughly 60-70days.

They do pray to the light and have decent leaf posture after any drench. After 3 days they are wilted so the root ball is definitely dense and full weeks and weeks ago.

Foliars don’t help perk them up as much as the drenches. I strengthened the drenches a touch to the tune of 15ml of either TP or GE every drench. I would mix 2.5-3Gal of RO to 15ML of one drench + 2.5ml of tea.

The reason these 3 are in veg so long is because the 4th Maui was started 2 weeks behind these and is just slower to grow it seems. It’s very healthy but not nearly as thick of a main stalk.

1 week ago I added 2 table spoons of fresh EWC to help the soil get more energy. Not sure if this was a great idea but I did it and they seemed happier after that and a Soil top up as the pots lost a bit from dunks.

Here are the 3 older ones now. They have some rusty spots and edges on fans at the lower / mid levels of the plant. Also the bottom fans yellow every few days. Seems like the plant can only support the canopy not the lowers in the current pot size and soil volume available.

Should I bother messing about with a flush + Rescue or just up can them all and let grow them as if there is no problem?

These are 10inch diameter pots approx 1.25Gal volume.

This 4th picture is the younger Maui. She has been very vibrant and healthy since germ. She is Approx at week 6-7 of veg in these pots. The stalk size difference is crazy. I’ll show pics below of stalks.

Above 3 pics are the older Maui’s. Stalks are quite thick for the pot size.

Here is the stalk on the younger Maui. Pic is hard to tell but it’s quite skinny. Around the size of a pencil.

Even the 3.5 week veg Lemon Kush stalks I have going are just as big as this one and it’s been in Veg in the same tent for twice as long !

I’m not that worried just a bit lost as to what exactly is going on with these Maui’s. The 4 Lemon Kush I have are preforming very similar and no issues.

Thanks for looking Gang Hope everyone has a sweet weekend :green_heart:

Prune 'em and transplant. They can't take much more abuse.....lol. In the meantime, dunk daily with strong drenches. Very strong. You're way rootbound.

Nice Babies ween!

Hi Doc and fellow brixfits. :ciao:

A quick photo dump and gratitude drop :thanks: As many have said before me, huge thanks to Doc for the work conceiving of and creation the kit and system. And to my brix support crew - nothin’ withoutcha!

This Bubba Hash from Ace seeds is definitely my best plant to date, in any system. This is night before harvest. I would have like to let it go another 4-5 days, but sometimes life events have to dictate the timing, right?

:passitleft:
Amy, great looking plants! Take caution when drying - my BH buds were so big and tight I didn’t break them down enough and had over two oz mold on me.

Gorgeous plant Amy. Makes me even more excited since I have a pack of these on the way too. I need to check out your journal for some strain-specific tips.

Hey gang...just got all done a bit ago. Another DBHBB crop on the strings. It took the two of us five hrs. from start to finish including hanging and clean up. I gotta say..i'm stoked about this crop. Very, very heavy buds with them. Here's a few pics of today. These plants went 74 days from flip. I expect close to 2 pounds again. cheers These are Bubba Hash and Lemon Zkittles. These were grown in slightly modified 4th run DBHBB soil.

Thanks mmmike :thanks: I’ll be keeping a close eye on it then. Luckily my outside weather has turned very dry since harvest. Thanks for the headsup.

For Bubba Hash? ... :meatballs: :meatballs: :meatballs: :laughtwo:

Awesome looking harvest @Duggan :thumb:

Thanks for the advice Doc , Duggs , Ween & Gang. :Namaste:

Yes they have been root bound for weeks! I can’t wait any longer for the younger Maui. They will get the upcan tomm evening. Hopefully the new 5x5 doesn’t have high temp problems. Done messing about with them.

I’ll up the feedings to Duggan’s 15ml per gallon after they get into the big pots and dry out.

@Duggan , nice harvest brotha! :slide::bravo:

Can pro mix or sunshine #4, be bought in England. And if not, would anyone know of a member using Docs kit in England ?

I've seen evidence that the "kit" can be available in the UK... shipping could be cost prohibitive tho'... if not promix/sunshine, I'm sure there is a comparable product...cheerz... :high-five: ...h00k,,,:hookah:

Hey puffer, I use it in Australia where neither of those produts are available. I got straight Spahgnum peat moss and, with Doc’s advice, amended it with limestone powder (Calcium carbonate) and perlite to make a mix that would work. It too a couple of goes to get the Calcium amount in the ballpark and I didnt add enough perlite the first time either but i made early adjustments to that and it’s going really well. Farside runs a thread on making what he calls FauxMix® :laughtwo: so if you can do that, you can use the kit :thumb:

Perhaps - it is pretty huge to Aus depending on what i need. It’s absolutely still worth it tho (and still cheaper than all the other bottled nute systems out there).
My First run dbhbb on Day 70 is just around the corner during next weekend! Super excited!
Fantastic! Looks awesome  Wait til you smoke some! :slide:
