Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

O dam that's good Duggan and you're right on time, as we haven't harvested yet, and been out of high brix weed for sometime now. Here, try some of this New England home grown. :passitleft: I'll be harvesting the GThaze next week, I hope.
These fu--ing timers are driving me insane !! I disconnected two lights at the remote ballasts, to do some foliar, and let um set to dry some before turning lights back on. When I did (2 hrs. later) reconnect, the lights don't come on. If I unplug the lamps and plug direct, then lights work. But now I can't set that timer. I think I've had problems with every timer I've ever had !!
 
Can u grab a mech. timer fast from somewhere. ?
 
Can u call up an instruction manual on line?
 
My GTH looked same. Mine had a pretty good stretch and never really stopped growing. The one I took at 11 weeks was the best. I ran it 3 times and can say that it is one of those strains that cures really well. I had some smaller test jars that I tested at 1 month intervals. While most strains I've found somewhat peak at 3 months in the jar, the GTH got better all the way out to 6 months. It really did smell like a fine wine.

Man thay sux bro i so feel ur pain. I went threw a shit ton of timmers as well cause they all kept having issues n not working for me. So i jus plugged an unplugged my lights till i got meself a mech timmer.

Ok so i had at first thought the damage was from foilers then i thought maybe the light was to low an 2 bright so raised it an dimmed it some but still got issues going on with the top growth. The bottom an middle look fine but the top an new stuff are having issues she was put into flower on 9/19/19 so 44 days into flower and its me Red Leicester Tease strains N they are an 8 week strain. So i was wondering what do the master brixers think i should do?

What strain are you running? The bottom leaves look dark green like they have to much Nitrogen to me. The top ones look kind of like my plants in 3rd run soil that was loaded with to much organic material, but I'm pretty sure you're in 1st run so I'm not certain about that.

I've never had luck with digital timers I have three of them so I just bought the mechanical timers now I cant find one of them Dam it. I still have a problem with those setting the time of day but they go on and off like they are supposed to
 
Believe it or not...after all these yrs. , i have found those 20 dollar mechanical timers to be the most reliable , forgiving out there. It's all i will use for my lil grows. Just can't beat the simplicity and reliability. Try and find the ones that have two receptacles on iether side of it...just gives ya more possibilities . Cheers eh.
 
Opps !! Sorry for the blank !! Looking at the pics Blazin, It don't look like light burn to me. I'd say either, your soil is to hot, or maybe low RH. Low rh is a real devil, that I'm getting ready to deal with, as soon as I turn on my heat for winter mos.. !! Low rh & excessive heat will combine to cause just the sort of damage that I'm seeing. I'd expect the top most leaves to receive the most damage, if it was indeed light burn. Could be a root problem ? You need the good Doc ??

Woke up and went to manually turn on the lights, and they came on as scheduled. Now explain that ? Timer is working fine !! Again !!

If its one of those 8 day timers it could be 1 day is not set correctly
OR
Some also have a 3 position selection switch ON/OFF/AUTO maybe
it was set to off and when you checked it got put back on auto ?

They need to be set on AUTO i have made the mistake in the past

Whats that old saying even the sun shines on a dogs ass once in a while lmao or even a broken clock is right twice a day lol. Those dam timers i now go with the old tried an tested lil mech timmers with those lil plug n pull pins on the side. I jus always tend to forget what on and off is up or down lmao. But make sure u get the dual sided ones like duggan was saying makes things alot alot easier lol.

I hear what you're saying Gazoo, but it's set on the 7 day cycle and this one doesn't have the auto. I do have one of those, and can't set it correctly either. :rofl: You mean this worthless piece of shit ?? :passitleft:

Yea im seeing tht lol. Thats ok i gotta learn this kit some time :laugh:. Each time i use it im learning somethimg more an more. An im getn there lol.

As for some one mentioned about my rh well atfirst i thought it might be 2 high during lights out it would spike up to 72% twice it got up to 78%. So i put alil clip fan in there to run the whole time to help circulation an tht helped drop the rh during lights off. But i forgot tht the hygrometer i use in tht tent i gotta reset each day by unplugging an pluging in the battery. Then i will know the rh% each day at lights on and during lights off. I need a new one this one kinda sux cause of tht. But it works gud other then tht feature. But yea i since then started to make sure i reset it each day to start checking the rh% cause i thought maybe the same thing to dry but i dnt think its tht. Im thinking sumthn is wrong with the roots an soil not linking up some where. Maybe its to hot or to much organic matter maybe idk ill wait for the good doc to chime in an help out. I was thinking on doing a rescue drench to see if tht will help things out. I member with my other R.L.T's they needed a rescue drench threw out there flower as well. So maybe this strain is jus having an issue with the HB soil an needs a rescue in the middle of flower to straighten her out lol.
 
At the H depot Manual, but dont think it has the DUAL Outlet. Do they make a pin type
with 2 outlets ?
