Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Growth and Tea should be alright. Maybe Trans? :hmmmm:

But they're tuned for HB soil, so they're no better than other nutes in regular soil. The foliars won't work at all.

Maybe its just me but when the system comes with a chart, the chart should be the correct way to use the system. No experimenting should be necessary. Someone who has never used the kit before like myself has no idea when its time to give the Cat drench, or to just alternate drenches unless you come here and read through almost 24,000 posts. I'm only on my second set of 3 plants ever and just want to be able to follow a set of instructions. I really don't have a clue what the hell I'm doing so when I'm following the included instructions only to find out oh, don't do that, you should be doing it this way. Its super frustrating. Really like the idea of the kit but maybe it's not for me...
Megacrop seems pretty easy to use. But going from high brix produce to a lower quality end product seems counterintuitive to me. Don’t get frustrated with hearing opposing views or seeing opposing views on drenches. Instead just realize that that’s part of the beauty of the kit. You can’t mess it up! Lol. Alternating the drenches will keep the herd happy. Plug the Cats in when you feel like you have buds now. 2 of the best growers with the kit do their Cats at different times during the grow. One prefers earlier in the cycle and one likes using the Cats later in flower. Both have outstanding examples of their work going up all the time. It’s a very flexible system that works! Beautiful!!

Puff. You're killing it bro! Knife is gonna toss the chart but if it's working for you keep at it!

I'm blown away at what you kit "newbs" are putting out. :high-five:
And I want to blow you away again, and I will, if I can keep my environment in check ? That gets a little tricky, as I heat with a gas furnace. And although I got a decent humidifier this year, but rh is still gonna go below 40% on occasions. We'll cross that bridge when we get there !! Did mrs. Ween let you build a new grow room ??

Hey guys i jus got this promix at the local hardware store lmao. Now normally sunshine#4 or promix hp cost me 50 to 60 a bale bit this was only 12 bux so i wasmt sure if it would work for the kit or not but if so ill be savn alot jus on tht now lol. From what i seen on the lable it only has mycos in it otherwise it does have alil limestone in it so i hope thts ok otherwise its jus Canadian peat an humus.

Oh also it says its only 2cubic feet but it breaks up to four so should i treat it as only 2 or the four? Is the first number meaning the size they compacted it to but there is really 4 cubic feet worth of soil in there?

Are there any additives? A back label or something?

If it's just the peat and mycos, it will work. It's not ideal, but I've used their garden bags before.

The bale we use is 3.8. This one is 2. So it's roughly half - should be about 20 gallons. You'll probably need to add perlite too, though. Pro-Mix HP is 27% perlite.

Ok so this is whats on the back should be ok in a pinch right?

Yer good to go!

But you should mix in 3-4 gallons of perlite, or it won't drain well. The label says it's 80-90% peat. That only leaves 10-20% for everything else.

Good morning everyone.
I have decided to mentor/help/assist Knife thru his first (Auto) kit grow.
I have two goals for this , his grow, as discussed with him .
First is to show everyone just how easy this really is... and to show Auto growers that they should be treated just like any other plants.
This grow should put to rest all the confusion and questions peeps seem to have regarding conflicting info on how to use the kit.
Cheers gang .Enjoy the day. :circle-of-love:

So I have 4 blueberry plants I didn’t have enough cooked soil for. So I’ve purchased some promix hp and mixed with 30lbs of ewc. So can I still us my regular Brix food to feed these plants or I’m i wasting my time and money and just should buy some other form of food for my girls. Thanks all in advance.

My 5 blueberry girls in docs soil are doing just fine.

If you already have plants in the pro-mix/EWC mix, you could try top dressing 1st run amendment and roots to get the microbe population going. That may do the truck to get them through the cycle, although they aren't going to be top notch.

Doc may chime in and tell us something different, but barring that, it's probably your best bet if you're wanting to use all the kit tools.

Pick up a cool mist humidifier for your tent for winter. That will help to bring your RH up without increasing your temps. If you need to increase temps, try a warm mist.

The main trouble here is that the kit is designed to be used by individuals in their own way.....following general principles.

Because of that, and everyone's eagerness to help, you get different ideas.....many times all will work.

That's because most problems are environmental. The next most common problem is watering tech.....and finally there is use of the products.

Listening to one experienced grower (not 8) will help you get a grip on it. Once you do, you'll see how easy it is.

I'm glad to see Duggan is going to help you out!
