Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Isn’t that GG/ the floppy one, isn’t it an auto? Wouldn’t cutting that back pretty much ruin the yields?
It’s an auto that was planted in that cloth pot from the start, correct? If so then the roots and transplant drench were his way of giving them the stuff they would normally get st transplant, but it wasn’t transplanted cause it’s an auto that started in that pot? I’m just trying to clarify, idk for sure that Doc realizes that it’s an auto... Or maybe he does idk... I feel there is some confusion here, am I wrong? Or am I the one confused?
You’re right Daj - from @Blazinjones post it seems the GG is an auto. So Blaze, Docs advice will probably not have taken that into account.

I know others have said it, but might be advisable to work a run or 2 of some photos until you get a feel for the kit with them. And a feel for feeding the soil not the plant. Then you’ll be able to translate that to autos. All the discussion in here is usually Photoperiod related. :Namaste:

Ok I'll prune her back an yea she has been in this pot from the start. Should I maybe consider going back to plastic pots instead of cloth?

I think you'd be much happier in plastic pots. Or maybe super stable cloth pots. But the movement that can occur in the soil is quite damaging to the micro-fine root hairs and certain kinds of microbial life.

Bottom line, that plant's root system is on strike. you'll get it back. That's the good news!

Yes, cutting it back might decrease the yield barring other factors. But a damaged/substandard root system will decrease yield even more that a pruning.....so we balance it out and prune with a view to giving the roots time to get their A-game on again.

Nope u were all correct in what u said but I think it was jus from waiting a bit to long to give the feeding i wanted to wait till she was fully dry an the next night noticed her droopy but now she is looking alot better here she is.

Everything is looking fine now so now I'm not sure if I wana prune everything off since it's an auto. But here is the only 2 leaves even showing an issue but I think it's from when i sprayed my other plants dwn i mite have accidentally caught these 2 leaves. Cause the rest of the plant looks perfectly fine well for the most part lol.

Yea I'm not even guna move her any more. From now on I'll move the rest around her if need be. Otherwise I'll let her be and I'll jus switch back 2 plastic when I go to transplant all of them into there final homes.

I cant remember who said they do there measurements of the nutrient tea by the cap per gallon of ro water or was it half cap per gal. I cant remember who said it maybe it was ween or duggan lol sry guys I have major memory issues.

Also on a side note does any1 know how to increase ur memory? Is that even possible??

Ok thanx man. Do u happen to remember if he said to use a half cap or a full cap of tea per gal. of ro water?
He does 0.5ml per gallon of RO so that’s probably half a cap I imagine.

OK brix'ers. I have a problem I never thought i'd have.......... I dont know what strain to grow. Im feeling overwhelmed with options. Ill outlay some of my ideas.

1) Friend has cuts of Guava stardawg, Durban poison, golden bean, flow, and master kush.
2)I have seeds of Smurfzilla by north genetics. And some self seeded dark plasma #9 seeds from a friends grow.(dark plasmas kind of out of the question)
3)I've been eyeing Exotic or Ocean grown for seeds (these strains worry me as they are highly hybridized and recall that landraces love this high brix soil.
4)I've also been eyeing some cuts that are available online. M.A.C cap's cut, grease monkey(another exotic genetics strain) and a bunch of others.

I have too many options and need some guidance. I personally love heavy indicas, but would love to give sativas another try. Only liked them when i was younger.

It was Duggan that mentioned measuring that way!

This sounds like a potentially dangerous trajectory of thought and action... :hmmmm:

For starters are you taking about Tea the product? Or the drenches (Transplant, Growth Energy)?

Then - which size cap? (The bottles are different sizes)

Maybe just go by the directions!

I think for us newbies it’s important to recognise that these dudes who are masterful at it have been doing it for a long time and their way is what’s become second nature to them after doing it by the instructions first, and then working their own style based on experience and knowledge gained over time. I’d love to grow like Graytail or neiko but if I just tried to do what they’re doing now, without learning the kit myself, I’d have a royal screwup I’m sure :D

Anyhoo - these tangents can confuse things sometimes, for newbies especially. ATM I’m just using the directions for Drench mixing and slowly getting a feel for the amounts... (what does 6ml “sploosh” like, into a bucket? :hmmmm::battingeyelashes:)

Yup, what Amy said! Stick to actual measurements for now.

Its actually easier for me 2 jus do it the way Duggs does it. That way I jus dump the amount in the cap I need an into the bucket it goes. No need to grab another syringe an get it all exact an shit. As long as my plants look gud an are growing healthy then I'm happy. Plus its jus easier lol jus grab the bottle an go. An so far minus my 2 bluecheese clones for sum reason all my hibrix plants look amazingly healthy.

Measure the exact amount, pour that into a cap or anything you like, see how much that is, and then you know. :slide:After that, you can just use the cap.

But didn't he just say he had memory issues? Might not remember next time he goes to drench... no offense intended Blaze.
On the memory thing, I think Lions mane mushroom can help with that. Also if you're smoking any haze strain... I noticed those make me very forgetful... and just smoking too much in general...

Im going to looking into the lions mane mushroom.

i've had a hard time with memory since some life trauma a few years ago.

This, exactly what I’m doing... (then I know which cap I’m talking about ;))

Good to know daj, thanks. Apparently Ginko actually works as well - as a memory “strengthener”
