Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Gray is right, i’d up can now to the one...if it is sopping wet let it sit in the new pot for a day to dry out then rescue drench. If it is not soaked in the solo now, up can to the 1 gal and rescue drench. The roots need oxygen so pay attention to the wet/dry cycle of the soil. The plant will love you after.;)

Hi BJ

The only preventive pest management I do is Docs leaf wash. Repels pests and feeds the plants. I use it twice in veg, one being right at the flip. I only use spinosad if needed, ie...I have a pest outbreak. Really if the brix levels are up and plants are super healthy they are not easy targets to the pests. Weakness attracts opportunistic parasites. I only see thrips multiplying in my garden when one or more plants are weak for some reason, usually due to my actions, or lack of.

Ok i was just wondering cuz i noticed my clones must have still had a few eggs on them or sumthn. Cuz they got spider mites now or got it when i had them in the baby area for seedlings an newly started clones. Either way the leaf wash doesnt come with the kit i dont think ill have 2 check it out when i get back home 2morow 2 deal with the girls. But thanx for letn me know bout the leaf wash. So shud i still jus use the leaf wash even though they got spider mites pretty bad?

Yeah get some leaf wash, and when you use it you want to spray it out of a something that has some knock down force, like a solo sprayer, I think it is actually the model 420. Doc teaches to try and physically knock the buggers off with it on every inch of the plant tops and bottoms. If you have spinosad though, I’d use it now following the directions.

Yea i have monterey garden spray which has spinosad init and bobrown14 on here way back when he first tought me how grow organically this was the stuff he used so i think i wid be fine right i jus shudnt adjust the ph at all right?

Do u guys think these are able 2 go in the kit to be planted or shud i get a bigger tap root? I went to put the goreerah glue auto beans in a paper towel since they been soaking in a cup of ro water for about a day alil less maybe. And i find they have already split open an one is already got a tail sticking out. Im pretty sure she is ready to jus go straight to soil an skip the towel. Do u think it wud be fine tho to do the other 1 tht doesnt have as big a tail. Or should i maybe put her in the towel for a night then plant her 2morow? Here they both are.

If we could take two clones with equal health and vigor, and give one Trans and the other Growth, they might not look much different after a week. If they did, I'd expect the Growth clone to have longer nodes and more leaves. The calcium load in the Growth formula will contribute to stem building and leaf production. Trans supports root and flower.

Your plant has tight nodes already so a shot of calcium and nitrogen should be supportive.

When do you think you'll upcan?

There's a few things that works good for mites, products called green cleaner, works great, it's one of few products that kills eggs too. But once you get knocked down, just use leaf wash few times in veg and right at flip. Plus the plants like leaf wash, gives leaves a nice waxy deep green color.

Hope everyone is about to have a great :Namaste::passitleft:

FYI, Doc recommends that, if you're going to soak the seeds, to plant BEFORE the taproot pops. It's nothing to worry about - just the recommendation and something to try next time! :Namaste:

I hope everyone is gonna take advantage of doc Black Friday sale. I just got a fresh restock but need to get couple more gallons of trans and GE.

I'm hooked on this high brix rosin now lol

Since switching to kit my returns have doubled, now I'm getting 25+% every squish

Hey guys i had a quick question or 2 about the kit or well more the plants done in the kit then the actual kit itself lol. But yea i was wondering if i should include my highbrix girls on my weekly ipm?

Here is the ingredients in my ipm.
1: monterey garden spray with spinosad.
2:ful-power by bioag its humic acid.
3: sometimes neem oil if needed.
For my normal girls done with synthetic nutes i adgjust the ph to 6.2 but when i was doing los growing i didnt touch the ph so wondering if i shud use it on my high brix plants an if so shud i or shud i not adjust the ph? Thanx any1 for helpn me out i really appreciate it.
Oh also b4 i forget with the clones and seedlings it says after 5 nodes start with the veg calendar in the lil pamphlet tht comes with the kit. Well i was wondering for my clones does it mean after 5 new nodes show up or if mine had 3 nodes when i put it in now with two new nodes would they be fine to start the veg calendar or shud i wait? They are 13 days old if tht helps thanx again every1 namaste.
5 nodes, start feeding and spraying.

Heheh, waiting a day usually works for me, too. :high-five:

A tip for upcanning: Don't try to upcan from a dry container - the soil will stick to the sides - much more slippery when it's moist.

But yeah, soggy was my first thought too, when I saw the pics. So, upcan as soon as you can, and let the roots get into some new soil. They'll recover faster.
up can complete, I didn't water or add trans I just dusted with roots and will let the plant do it's thing.

soil was dry in the solos, but not crumbly, I will let them sit over night and do a rescue drench tomorrow after lights on. And hopefully they will forgive me:confused:

So i checked the girls 2nite/2day lol. An well they r dryish like the top half inch to inch is dry an crumbly but below is warm n moist. So ill let them sit for another day or 2 an check again unless u guys think i shud start to feed them now an get the veg stage started?

Edit: oh an they are starting there 10th day old 2day if tht helps.

Let the soil dry completely, the first part to dry is the top.

In early seedling growth the only time I water inbetween the wet/dry cycle is to trickle a couple of tablespoons of water down the very edges of the pots to encourage lateral root growth. But again it is just a tiny bit.

When you judge a soils dryness by the top, that’s when you get into trouble. Pick them up, learn what a dry pot feels like. At this stage your trying to grow wonderful roots. You do this by making them search for moisture, and search they will if you adhere to the dry/ wet cycle.

Thts what im doing currently is letn the roots grow. When i looked at my plants the top is really dry. So at first i thought maybe feed them. Till i picked it up then i felt alil weight still. An as 2 im still tryn to get into the habit of feeling the weight of a dry pot versus a wet one i figured id do the age old technique of if in question wait a day......or 3 lol. But yea as to what i meant by start the veg cycle. In the pamphlet tht came with the kit that little calendar in there i meant start that.

Great day to ya'l gang! My new journal is up and running . Link to it is however not working so...sorry.
