Doc Bud: All Organic OG Kush SCROG

That's why it's so important to have a well balanced, living soil. There is no such thing as "lock out," in decent soil.

The more crap you start adding, the more things can go wrong and you really need to know what you're doing! That's why I always start off by copying someone who is successful, and then learning the science behind the success.

But organic gardening doesn't deal with such issues like lockout. Our challenges are keeping the soil alive and healthy and making sure the microbes have enough of what they want so they can make food.

There's plenty to learn!

yeah I'm actually flowering a plant I revegged. I left one branch with one bud on my plant and just put it back in the veg room under 20/4 lighting. It took about 2 weeks but I started seeing new growth from the top of the bud. After another couple of weeks, it had exploded and was throwing shoots everywhere. I took around 20 clones from it and then started flowering it a couple of weeks ago. It's starting to bud up again. I didn't transplant it or anything.

It's a great thing being able to reveg. I hadn't taken any clones of this pheno and it was the last one I had. I decided I wanted to keep it in the garden so I gave it a try. Now I have a strong clone army and took the best clone for a new mother plant.

yeah put the harvested plants back into your veg area and be patient, shell eventually put out normal vigorous veg growth. its the tree of life.

it may not be for everyone but the plants just get bigger and stronger each cycle.

Hey Doc, I just got 2 bags of vermicrop soil. It was expensive but well worth it. I going to go to a local nursery for the other good stuff. The azomite will have to ordered online. Cant wait to mix and let sit. Yeah buddy!!!

Peace

Nice!

The three most important things you can do to that soil, in order:

1.)micronutrient package, like Azomite
2.)Gypsum
3.)Bone meal or soft rock phosphate

The other stuff is all great too....just keep the ratio's right.

Water often with compost and/or worm tea. Make sure to use kelp in the tea.

You'll see.....and you won't quite believe it!

I'm going to be trying a new recipe soon:

1 bag Vermicrop soil to which I'll add 2 cups of a mix containing

5 parts limestone
3 parts sof rock phosphate
2 parts gypsum

Then, I'll add the Azomite, the Pyrogrow, the bone and blood meal, along with the greensand, guano, EWC, Zeolite and some iron sulphate.

That whole mix will be spiked with a mycorhizael innoculation like Extreme gardening Mykos....and molasses. It will be left to cook as usual.

I'm told that this particular mix creates a micro herd on steroids and that the Brix will be off the charts. We shall see!

But I know the mix I use now works really well too.....I'm just trying to do better when I learn new things......doesn't always work out, but sometimes it does!

Some more pics.....not the best pics but they do show the resin formation on the Thai strains. (OG not too bad either)

mm that thai is something else I would love to have that strain in my garden. did you know anywhere that stocks seeds or is it a clone only deal?

Buds are lookin so sexy

The girls thank you and agree! (they think their sexiness is going to pay off tomorrow.....and it will! Just not in the way they imagine......)

The taste is simply exquisite. Very strong lemon, very smooth, delicious aroma.....and a very powerful, relaxing high. Not a stone....a high!

I don't know where you could get it....I've got a special connection. This is not commercial stuff at all. Most of the strains I grow on that tray are connoisseur strains from a Norcal legend. This is the stuff he and his friends smoke....not what they used to sell.

you definitely have some exquisite strains on your hands. I wish I lived closer to CA so I could get my hands on them. My primary goal in growing is about quality so yield and commercial traits aren't really important for my needs. I did a brief search for some seeds but only turned up hybrids that have lemon thai crossed into them. There are so many strains out there I can't get enough of all the varieties haha. I'm actually tossing around getting another seed order, have a decent amount of strains picked out, a lot of pure african sativas, but I already have a few seeds I haven't grown yet so maybe I'll just stick with what I have for a little bit lol

If you lived out here, I'd give you a cut.....but the seeds aren't available unless you know people.

I've grown out 4 strains of 40....each are amazing in their own way. I did a poor job growing one of them.

Wait till I break out the African stuff....

:thankyou: I always wanted to move out there, we'll see what happens in the next 10 years

what kind of african strains do you have access to? I've had my eye on malawi gold, and I saw that seedsman took an "outstanding" pheno of it, and crossed it back against a male, I think they call it african buzz, but its supposed to be 100% sativa. Everywhere I try to find them from Holy Smoke are sold out.. might have to wait a while on it

I have a pure Durban Poison, a Nigerian, something called, "Black African Voodoo," Malawi, some Morrocan hash strains and others.

I'll definitely be in tune whenever you bust those babies out. Have you ever grown the malawi?

I think I should just jump to the micro herd on steroids, EWC? I need to just go for it.

Doc do you think this method would work in 3 gallon pots?

Peace

Earth Worm Castings.

Would my current soil work in 3 gallons? Yep. You'll have to feed 2 or 3 times with some guano, kelp, minerals, etc. It works very well.

The High Brix method would also work. That's where I'm headed the grow after next. I may do a couple this time around, we'll see.

It's fascinating stuff....they look at things way beyond NPK. They're big into Cation Exchange, soil testing, microherd and Calcium.

They also recommend foliar spraying weekly....again, mostly calcium.

There's a bunch of science behind it but the bottom line is the Brix is off the charts.....things don't spoil, bugs hate the plants, the nutrient density in the fruit is way, way better, as is taste.

I'm hopeful it will do the same thing for weed. ( I know it will)

I'll be combining High Brix with organic food for the soil.
