Doc Bud: All Organic OG Kush SCROG

I couldn't even smoke bud that beautiful :bong:

Think I'm gonna copy your soil recipe ;)

Ummmmm.......yes, I believe you COULD smoke those buds. In fact, I can't wait to smoke some. You can't believe the smell.....amazing.

Me too

Keep it simple stupid and copy DB. I keep trying to do it myself and producing half what DB is getting.

I encourage you guys to copy me on the soil. That's why I post it.

Then, one of you will do something different and get better results and we'll all benefit!

Loss for words! doc always love your photo update.
may I post a picture here of some leaf damage?:thanks: I also have it in my journal if you would rather take a look there.

:thanks:

feel free to post it!

It has progressed since this picture and frankly Im gettin sorta concerned.

Doc, I have a nute mixing question for ya.

Am I brewing up a benefical light tea by pre mixing my nutes, and the molasses acting with the dyna-bloom, SSU? And that's why it smells weird cause the microbes are churning? Maybe I cloud try setting one aside for a week or two and let it brew even longer?

With me not having the flower room available to me at all times, I check on them at least 2 days a week so I pre mix the nutes that set till my next visit when I water. So my nutes set for 3 or 4 days before getting used.

When I open the jugs to water, they have an unusual smell that reminds me of the water that's in a pot the day after you boil corn on the cob.

I am assuming there is no problem letting them set since my plants look healthy, and no harm is evident.

I would actually like to mix up a concentrated gallon if it is beneficial and use a half cup or cup which would be easier than using eye droppers to mix the nutes each batch. And if it is benefical to sit longer, a pre mixed jug would get better and better towards the end. And if I can't get to visit the ladies my friend can just add a cup per gal and water.

Little side bar here. It has taken me the whole second half of the Niners Saints game to write this post, what a game. Which I can attribute to the 2 hits of AK I took before starting this. It seems to be getting better having cured a month.

:thanks:

first thing that came to mind is Thripes. Long, wiggly little things. Examine a damaged leaf carefully and i'll bet you find some.

No Big Deal! Use a good organic pest product like Azatrol or Azamax. Or....just spray the leaves with a good compost tea mix. That will help heal the leaves AND keep the wigglies at bay.

I don't think you're brewing a tea.
A proper tea has no smell, and requires air stones to aerate the mix.

What kind of nutes are you mixing?

Thanks Doc, we will definately check this out with my magnifing glass. The picture was from 3 days ago; checked on them today and the damage was more advanced. It was more uniform like a nute def. ummmmm if I can't find any "wigglies" then I will post another picture of progressed damage, if that is okay. Thanks alot!

What strain are you going to grow? I'll help you tweak the soil a bit if I can.

Don't sweat the pyrogrow....it's a source silica, sulfur, and micro's. You're covered.

Make sure you mix it well, put it in a container of some sort, water with 1.5 gallons of water per bag of soil.....and let it cook for 30 days minimum!

Doc,

Nutes are nothing to strong, tbsp molasses and tsp dynagrow bloom, tsp snow storm, and epsom every other. (OC+ in the dirt)

Would it hurt to make up a concentrated batch for simplicity for my friend?

Did not find any bugs using magnifying glass and a scope-light. here is some more pictures of the progressed damage. We had a humidifier directly underneath our cross flow fan and it was causing some mist/drips/spray on the highest fan leaves. We are thinking that the magnification of the water on the leaves and under the lights caused the damage, as it seems that its only affecting the plants that were near the humidifier. Please let me know what you think and if the leaf damage in the pictures is in fact a result from the water.

Doc, you're one intelligent person ! Just wanted to leave a Thanks for contributing to the MJ community in so many ways. We need to help end this prohibition, and growers like you are going to be the driving force. I Live in Southern California, in San Diego County and things have been getting kind of hectic around here. Collectives are dropping like flies, I've lost my favorite 3 dispensaries in the past 2 MONTHS ! It is hard to find ANY collectives now, when I use to have 100+ in my disposal. Only ones left are Deliveries, and even they are getting attacked now. It's ridiculous over here man

Patients such as myself, and many others are being forced to use Craigslist to acquire our meds. This is so wrong and something needs to be done.

Your plants are gorgeous ! I lovee OG

Doc,

No aeration. Just thought it might have been brewing something since there was a strange odor. I thought I might have stumbled on to something by accident that it was a good bacteria growing.

I don't have all the room I need or place to brew teas yet. Out in the shed is out of the question this time of year. It's been below freezing for a few days now.

I use a 5 gallon Homer bucket for my teas. No smell, either. You could do one in the bathroom or bedroom.....

BTW, bad smells almost always mean pathogens.

One more question, Doc. On one of those other sites, (can't recall which one) a product called BioAg VAM was discussed as a myco starter. I wondered if you had any experience or an opinion on this particular product, or are you using anything similar (I know you mentioned that your worm castings provide most of your little micropeople)

And give us some more pics of that chocolate thai!

I have never heard of that product. It could be fantastic....it could be average. I don't know.

I looked at their website....looks fine.
