Pink Kush has FINALLY decided to make an appearance.
@newty looks like we're in business! Wouldn't you know it, but I had to use tweezers and get the shell and membrane off once again? These seeds... I don't know what it is.
I figure she has about 45 days to show what she can do under the T5s. I'm going to pot up her sisters tonight, and I think I'll go to 1 gallon pots and do a second pot up for these, that way I might be able to pot everything up to 3 gallons when PK is ready to come out of her solo cup.
I'm really excited to get Pink Kush going, this is my highest hope medically from my next round with Tuna Kush being a bit of a wild card and neither Green Crack nor Chemdawg well suited to addressing the worst of my stomach issues.

Inspired by Ase's defoliation, I decided to go ahead and do some of my own. Mostly I concentrated it on the bushier Amnesia x OG but all 4 plants got a fair bit. It's hard to get shots that really show it in detail without taking individual shots of the plants - I'll get some of those on the weekend.
First off, the pic I posted up last night to function as the before.
And now, tonight's pics, the after.
Amnesia x OG is still a little behind, but the others all look fantastic. Violator Kush looks set to have fantastic colas - its stacking is the best I've ever grown. Royal Gorilla will have nice ones too, although not stacked as much as VK. Liberty Haze is going to pack a lot of buds onto those long stems.

Bonus Violator Kush canopy shot - I can't wait to see these colas a month from now...
Like you said you know a thing or 2 about coco....Idk you and ase newty swagg all make it look so easy. Not sure if I need to try a different nute line or maybe just find a better sweet spot for my feed levels, but I want my plants to look like that.....

Ase's feeding schedule is definitely a huge factor in my success. It seems to hit all the right notes. I make little judgment calls to bend the rules here and there but that's essentially something Ase encourages. I fed a consistent formula from start to finish previously and saw issues at different points. Ase's schedule seems to prevent issues like I used to have from occurring because it's giving the plant the right mix at the right time. I would highly recommend it.
Ase also posted in his new journal about the things that most directly contribute to a good grow in coco that I think is on point.

I can't stop taking photos. A slightly different angle from usual allowed me to get a little further back and take a nice shot from an angle I normally don't get.

Outstanding grow. Your plants look perfect.....I'm a little jealous. I wanted to tell you a little about the LH. I've grown it twice. 2 plants then 3 plants. 5/5 germ. It's dank for sure, g-13 haze for sure. 4 pheno's. Short and fat to tall with big castle cola's. It does taste like limes and the buzz was suprisingly consistent among phenotypes. As was the flavor. Oh and lastly, frostiest buds I've grown until Original Sour D took the crown....and my heart. I think I've fallen for the Chem family.

Looks like I have a tall pheno - mine is pushing the limits of my tent height, roughly a foot and a half taller than my next closest plant. I can definitely pick up the lime smell, although that might be the Amnesia x OG too, which smells like lemons. My buds are super frosty as well, I'm really surprised they are so frosty this early. Handling it to defol made my fingers really sticky.
How long did you let yours go Mj? Did you by any chance pull at different times and figure out a preference?
I was telling Ase a little while back - when I first had Sour Diesel years ago it was like nothing I'd ever tasted before. It blew me away. I had Chemdawg a month or two ago for the first time and loved it. Aside from this G13 cross in flower, I have HSO's Chemdawg (Chem 91 they say) in veg, so that'll be coming up in my next round of flower. I have a couple of LH clones in the veg tent as well, so I'll likely grow this same pheno again.

So I went back to my notes and yeah, roughly 8 weeks. I prefer 10-20% amber as well. But that's from flip. For some reason my plants are consistently done early. It messes with my head but the trichomes don't lie.

It's hard when your plants take up the whole tent to get different angles isn't it? There just isn't much you can do about it with a full tent! 1st world problems.....
On a side note... Holy cow you must be thrilled right now. I think we are both going to end up with our best grows ever this round.

Thanks for that. I'm surprised it was 8 weeks for you - the lanky shape of mine had me thinking it'd be a long flowering sativa-leaning plant. Barney's Farm says 60-70 days. The grow journals and videos I was checking out all seemed to be 70+ days. I expected I was looking at 10+ weeks but I'll watch closely.
I'm extremely happy. I can see development every day, so I can't wait for lights on to be able to open the tent up and see where we stand. Way back at the beginning of my first grow I really longed to have big picturesque colas so it's thrilling to watch the potential develop into something of a reality. There's no doubt this will be my best ever. To say I'm excited to see how these end up at the end is an understatement!
As for yours - let's just say I'll wait until you get your POTM out of the way before I make my first entry.

@Jgrowlove - check out the frost on Royal Gorilla! There's a nice amount on Liberty Haze too. I can see why you liked these strains.
Kushy Kush was my frostiest plant yet. Kushy Kush's frost at this point wasn't quite as wide spread nor as dense. I might take a closer look at the trichomes tonight, and maybe see if I can get a shot where I compare the 2 directly. Both leaf to calyx ratio, and size and shape of the cola is way better on Royal Gorilla. Kushy Kush's buds had great bag appear but could have been larger. I think Royal Gorilla should improve in both areas.
This will likely be the smallest yield of the grow, but might just be the best bud.
I'll post up a weekly photo dump tonight after lights on.
