I never really bought in to Valentines Day shit, I'd rather get a bundle of Sativa flowers on a random day rather than a forced day of love...
 
Flip day!

First, to set the stage. Lights on last night brought the realization my tape solution on Amnesia x OG was useless. Here are a few shots from last night, at the conclusion of veg.

My branch was resting on the edge of the pot. I took off the tape to see this.

My concern if I leave it alone is that it won't be able to support the weight once the flowers start to bulk up, so I knew I needed a permanent solution.

Instead of using small strips of well placed tape that could potentially give way if the tape didn't hold, I used the tape like rope, bracing underneath the broken branch and wrapping around the main stem and the base of the healthy branch. I went around several times. This time, the tape can't possibly come loose, so I was in a position to once again train the branch.

I trained the other plants, and after a couple of hours, they were all popping again.

I set the lights to go off at 8AM this morning, so today is the first day of 12/12, although technically the first 12/12 cycle ends at 8PM tonight. I'm just going to say 2/10 is 1F to avoid confusion and leave it at that.

I'm going to go feed and fondle the plants, and I'll likely go for detailed pics of all 4 plants tonight to mark the day. So stay tuned.
 
And here's the 1F shot! Just opened the tent to see this. No issues with the sore branch on Amnesia x OG. Flower is off to a great start!

I hear you newty. It sucks how North American culture pushes these meaningless days on people to get them to spend money.

Amnesia x OG - She's bouncing back from her major injury, although I'm still worried about how her branch will support weight in flower. I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Royal Gorilla - The smallest, but the nicest structure. The tops are just about perfectly even. Her canopy will be nice.

If you taped it well and had decent contact, it should grow a knot that you could do chin ups on.

As usual you guys are right - my broken Amnesia x OG branch had a bunch of energy diverted to it, and although that remaining link was small, the rest of the branch was already harder and stronger than all of the others when I taped it up. It has held its shape now through the weekend so I’m hoping I get it to knot back up. That tape is staying on at least for this week - there’s really no need to take it off.

The big scratch on my back still stings and my foot still hurts when I put my shoes on, but I’m getting there! Now if the same concept applies to my foot, I’m going to be kicking the ball harder than ever at soccer this week! :laugh:
 
New seeds were dropped last night starting the next round of veg, for the plants that will be next to go into flower.

I’m nervous that the White Widow I’ve veged just isn’t a good plant - the leaves have the same kinds of issues that they initially had, even though the plant has corrected much of its structure and colour. It reminds me somewhat of LA1 in my first grow. I still have a few more White Widow seeds so it’s not a big deal if this one doesn’t get a prime spot. I’m actually thinking of flowering it under T5s just so that I can get something from it, and to free up the space.

So to that end I dropped 4 seeds. The final lineup will be:

Reeferman Pink Kush
Reeferman Tuna Kush
HSO Chemdawg
HSO Green Crack

I figured the White Widow spot should go to an indica for my medical needs, and I’m dying to try Tuna Kush and see if the hype is real.

Nothing to report in the flower tent. I haven’t really done any defol since the flip, and I’ve kept the training to moving things around with my fingers. They’re all growing well. Should be a fun week in the flower tent, as I keep an eye out for pistils. My seeds are all fem but it’s always exciting to see that visual indicator that we’re in business!
