Those cuttings aren't from a flowering mother are they? I had some that I thought were veg, but as they were in the cloner they all started to grow flower tops! Definitely slowed things down considerably and I only ended up with a handful that rooted, and it took 23 days to get there! :(

Actually, I thought I was a little pre-mature on the topping, but she looks like she's got her four colas forming quickly now. I must say that the UBT doesn't slow down the grow much, if at all. It just takes a little off the top!

Now, if her clone will root, I'll be VERY happy! :yahoo:

You got me going through my first journal like a mad man......Could I be the world's biggest dousche, and forgot where I got such a great idea!!??.....Looked through all my PMs too....not sure when or where it was brother but I truely apologize if it was you who turned me on to the bubble cloners...SO sorry my friend...Best I can find is this page, post#200...Quix's Corner - Puddle-o-Green - NL & Bag Seed - Indoor Soil Experiment but you and I didnt chat back then....was it on someone else's thread??

I had the bubble cloner going a few weeks ago for the older PE clone and the PS seedling. But, they both had early signs of root rot. A few posts ago, you'll see Mr. Smith's comment that moving to the hempys was a great idea. That's because he played a big role in helping me catch the pythium early.

I wouldn't be surprised to see me break out another cloner at some point, though! :)

That's what I thought, but the slow rooting sounded familiar to my recent cloning efforts with a flowering batch. They don't think much about roots when in that mode. ;)

Might just be a strain that takes longer and/or is a bit harder to clone than most? Like the Blue Cheese strain I have here.

Okay, after reading these posts, I think I did something wrong in my topping maybe. I think I was counting a node I wasn't supposed to. So for UBT, you don't count the single bladed leaves above the cotyledons? If that's correct, than I UBT'd a couple and did one above the first node, oops. lol. Maybe 2 colas on that one??

You'll have to look at my pics and see if you can help me figure out what the hell I just did. Topping is new to me! Thanks Kripster.

Good luck with your PS and hopefully she thrives now! :)

Yes, if you top above the first true node instead of the second, you'll get two main colas. I'll see if I can get a closer look at your pics, but when I looked at your Lucy earlier, it appeared correct to me.
 
im definitely doin the UBT next time, but i think it would be better to do it after the 4th node, but maybe wait until i have 6 nodes before toppin though, does that sound correct?? i read the thread about it and its definitely on my list to do!!! exspecially after this grow, with all these tall ass plants, maybe i'll just grow 2 plants and just make them really bushy instead of havin tall ones, sorry im ramblin lol!!! just my opinion though..:)

For UBT, to get four main colas, wait until the plant has 5-6 nodes, then top just above the 2nd "true" node. The node where the cotyledons attach do NOT count.
 
PICS FROM TODAYS RES CHANGE

I snapped a few pics while I was doing res changes today. I was planning on lowering PPM's, but decided not to, just yet. I did add some Overdrive to the res's, though. I'm thinking they have 3-4 weeks left, and knowing I can do a pretty quick flush using the Clearex, I'm gonna see if we can get these girls nice & bulky! :MoreNutes:

LOL! Yeah, I was looking at the pics yesterday thinking, "I know what they call that stuff 'Snowstorm'!"

I've only got about one bowl left from my last harvest (and a couple g's of the bubble hash), so I'm getting pretty anxious on harvesting this round and getting the next one started ASAP!

I'm definately VERY happy with the PE! :grinjoint:
 
I like how everybodys makin the custom name tags!!! i'll have to get my name on mines some how, Paralyzed420 use to make some good ones!!! wish that dude was still around, seemed like a pretty cool cat!!! RIP Paralyzed 420!!! but yea im gonna have to fix mines up..
