QUICK PIC UPDATE

I can honestly say that this is one of the most fun hobbies/projects I've ever undertaken. Each phase of the grow seems to be more exciting than the next.

There's the initial excitement of seeing your seeds sprout, followed by the excitement knowing they've rooted and are out of seedling stage and vegging, then there's seeing those first pistils and knowing you have a female, then seeing the growroom filled with beautiful flowers.

And now, I'm in what seems to me to be the most exciting phase, so far, which is watching those flowers turn into real quality buds!

These girls are starting to look real nice, pack on more weight, and get much more frosty; and the next few weeks are looking to be lots of fun as I start to get a glimpse of what harvest time will bring.

Here are some good shots a took this morning:

Thanks for everyone's help!

Beautiful shots! Down the home stretch it's Mr Krip by a bud! :cheertwo:

I considered using a dehydrator for the sample bud but didn't want to use that much energy just for that little bud. A cable box, on top of the grow cab, near a grow cab exhaust, above a radiator, light bulb, monitor or tv were all considered. My terms were to use already existing heat/air. In my case I got lucky and it had little taste. But overall, I was determined not to baby it cause it wasn't going to be a satisfying flavor either way. Just my .02

Good thinking, WnF! That $0.02 probably saves $2.00 in electric! :welldone:

I don't have mine anymore, but a toaster oven was ideal. If I was in a hurry, I could throw a couple on a tray in there with the door hanging open and the temp on its lowest setting. A little more patience and a tray on TOP of the toaster oven worked good/better. (For quick dry only).

Now I use a tray in an oven on lowest setting with the door open - or cable box like others have done/mentioned. Since I'm usually stocked now, I'm only sampling right around harvest time as a double check/reward. :)

Yeah...I'm gonna wait another few weeks or so before I start sampling. Although it's a good preview, I'd rather sample it when it first looks "ready" then gauge from there.

I'll probably just put whatever nug I take to sample on top of the T5 veg light. It's most always on, stays nice & warm, and has a nice flat top.

I still think I have longer than another three weeks left, so unless I see some pretty significant changes by Saturday, I'm going to continue with the current bloom nutes mixture on this weekend's res changes, and hope to be ready to start the Overdrive the following week.

I was trimming the girls again this morning and I got a leaf that had some trich's on it. So, I thought I'd try to get a shot with the new microscope.

I can honestly say that lining up and taking the pics is not any easier, BUT, the pics are a lot clearer. I didn't have too much time to play, but here's what the trich's look like on the one leaf I cut:

I'll try to post more and better pics this weekend!

Best!

QUICK PIC UPDATE

Again, I'm a little short on time, so just a quick update...

All the girls look great. The AK in flower is now noticably getting bulkier and frostier by the day! :)

I think I will do two harvests on the AK, taking the larger colas first, then let the lower buds develop for another couple of weeks and harvest the rest then, probably right around the same time I harvest the Haze. Since the Haze will need more time, I figure I may as well maximize the yield on the AK. :grinjoint:

Here's a quick peak into the "Cola Factory":

You can probably notice more mass on the buds, even when compared to yesterday's pics:

And here's some of the lower buds I'd lik to give more time to develop:

And check out how frosty these girls are getting! :) :

Thanks, Suka....we're getting there!

The gals are looking great! That shot of the trichs must have been a chore... it's really nice! :goodjob:

Thanks, Wnf! Yep, it sure was a chore, but on a day I'm not doing res changes and mixing batches of nutes, it's not too bad! :)

Mr. Krip, looks like a forest in your closet. Awesome picture of the trich's. :high-five:

Thanks, Hemp! Yeah, it's a real jungle in there. Kinda fun, cuz it appears to be an "innocent-looking" closet cabinet, but when you open it up, it's wall-to-wall buds! :yahoo:
