DirtyDanny's 600 Watt LED Grow

Well.................. I guess its not too late to do a bit of LSTing!
The forming nugs were really starting to smother each other, so I bit the bullet and carefully worked some majic to seperate them.
This girl is REALLY starting to stink quite well :thumb: I think its time to purchase a carbon filter.
I cant believe how fast the buds are stretching and filling out. It seems to be about twice as fast as compared to the HPS I used many years ago. LED lights rock! :headbang:
Here is some pics.......These are the begining of week 4 since the flip to 12/12

Looking good! I envision 5 or 6 fat colas in your future :)

Thanks Scarfinger....... im hoping its gonna be a great harvest!
There is 10 main tops in all...........plus each top has a few side branches shooting out.
She seems to be growing about an 1" to 1-1/2" a day.......so I hope this stretching wont outgrow my tent!
I have a turntable coming this week to automatically rotate this girl so she gets better exposure to the light,
seeing that my light isnt square. Its a rectangle thats about 18"x40".
Better light exposure=bigger colas!!!!! All of the branches are VERY thick and strong, so they should support BIG FAT colas no problem:thumb:
Im predicting between 4-6 oz's dry.........I would LOVE to see 1 gm per watt!! But who wouldnt????

I kinda thought I was on to something :D Those are going to bulk up real nice now!

Ive considered the LSTing in the past, but all the branches were really thick and stiff.
I figured that I would end up snapping a precious shoot..........so I talked myself out of it.
This morning when she was getting her check-up and feeding.....I thought, screw it, she needs more light to fatten up them nugs.
So I spread her legs and tied em down......:thumb: Thanks again J189!!!!!

The pics at the top of the page are the begining of my "half assed" attempt of LST.
The stems and shoots are VERY ridgid and thick........they dont want to give much at all.
I will have to train her in small increments every few days as she starts to "relax" .
Shes a very strong and uptight bitch.......lol
I'll get some pics of her base and show ya:cheertwo:

I hear ya. I figured up my grams/watt one time and I had a severe episode of depression. The most I have grown is 100 grams in my box (a full box with 10 plants). I would have to hit 300 grams per grow (or 30 grams per plant... not happening) to even come close to 1 gram/watt.

That turntable reminded me that I have an automatic dishwasher... my wife

......i have two 300 watt led panels which are 9 band and 3watt leds......they live in a 22"x36"x63" tent .....they all grew under a 250watt hps untll a week ago.....till my leds came in:)

Are you saying that you have 600 watts of leds in a 22"x36" tent?:whoa:
If so.....thats your problem right there!
You are bleaching and cooking your girls with the intense light........especially seeing that you said that all was fine until you switched to the LED panels.
A single 300 watt panel should be more than enough for a 2'x3' tent.(even 300 watts may still be a bit overkill)
You are going to have to cut back on your nutes until the girls adjust to the new LED light.
Get the light panel up as high as possible (at least 36" above the canopy) to cut down on light saturation until the plants adjust to their new light spectrum.
Give the girls a good straight water flush as full strength nutes for 3 week old plants is probably WAY too much!!!!
If your using organic soil.......you shouldnt need any nutes at all for the 1st month, then you start introducing nutes in very small increments and work your way up to full strength over a period of weeks.
Hope this helps bro.....try to post up some pics.
Glad to see a fellow LED grower up in here:welcome:

Did another heavy defol this morning to just the very large (hand size) lower fan leaves.
They were really in the way of watering since I tied down most of the tops.
Im seeing lots of frost appearing! :thumb:
The temps here have dropped alot this week and now my grow tent temp is about 72F
So im gonna seal the tent back up and give the Co2 system another try:;):
I just hate to see $500 worth of Co2 growing equipment go to waste!
She looks a bit naked now without all them huge fan leaves covering her up...
