Thanks dynamo. Should look better but they got flipped early right after a heavy defol and suffered for it. Next fall I'm hoping to get both tents dialed in better.

I’ve heard of growers scoring the root ball when they transplant so this would be a new twist.

i do this with everything i plant, especially if root bound. Its something my mum taught me in the veggie garden many years ago... Just a light rough up on the bottom and sides, encourages the roots to seek out new directions and can make them stronger... I have always thought of it like topping/lst for the roots, everything in my gardens survives and thrives, similar to derbys experience.
