mirrors reflect the heat and can cause hot spots on the plants and burn the plants or worse burn the house down, so be careful using mirrows, also tinfoil is no good at reflecting so dont use that either, mylar rescue blankets cost nothing well next to nothing to buy, next best thing would be flat white paint, cant comment on perlite as i have never used it yet. also most houselights now are cfls, if you have any then id use them even in a table lamp as that would give you some light during dark period, the normal household cfl is the 2700k cfl which is the orange looking light and these are mainly used for flower as GiGaBaNe said, but if its all you have got then id use that as they will still grow a plant, i have seen people use halogen lights like security lights, this also dont produce much light it produces mainly heat, but i have seen a plant and pictures are in my journal of a grower and the results and to be honest it was pretty good considering the light used,
reps GiGaBaNe for the advice, the 6400k clfs are best to get off the net, i struggled to get any at all in the shops

Yeah, I'm just gonna wait for my emergency blankets to get here. I got the fan blowing into the window sill right now. Gonna leave it there for a little while. Hopefully help the stems stiffen up :)

It's on Low setting about 2.5 - 3 ft away from them.

thanks grace, i only worry about mirrors as my nan had some on a dressing table in her bedroom and when it was really hot it caused a hot spot on the wall and set fire to the wall paper, luckily they smelled the burning and got it sorted before the plae burned down, so be very careful with mirrors and magnifyng glasses when they are placed in sun light, fires do happen,

its sounds like the fans ok where it is mate, as long as its gently blowing the branches and the leaves are slightly moving then this will strengthen the stems up and give the plant plenty of co2 around it,

sounds like your got a decent idea of what you need, should be a good grow, just ask any questions that need asking, if we can improve your grow and solve any problems you might have then this gives you the best chance of having some amazing buds

Exactly DonP, there was a local news story here where a man had a snowball in front living room window, the sun was constantly hitting it, it exploded and sent glass shooting everywhere, heat and mirrors and glass don't mix too good. Just my opinion/grace

word on not using mirrors in your inside grow.. my plant is getting hit by indirect sunlight..im just reflecting a lil back to the plant.. not bright enough to start a fire and it's not a glass mirror its plastic.. not much heat..

but yeah foil or mirrors not good for inside grows..learned that here a while ago..

I'm out in the gardens, on craigslist selling stuff, taking breaks, checking in here, making a yeast starter for a couple batches of beer I am about to brew. Just another day in paradise!

I did just check my clones and B2 has a healthy amount baby roots showing out of the net pot. That's 2/3 so far. The 3rd is still hanging in there and looking like it's trying.

That's what they do best. I'm sitting here paying bills, step daughter just called looking to scam us out of money again to fix her car, I don't believe a word she says, every suggestion we give her she has a quick response why she can't do that. Liar. I'm pissed off and can't toke till I get these bills paid or I'll screw them up, other then that we got RAIN today, slept right thru it, but my rain barrel, (Rubbermaid garbage can) is filled to the brim, need to fill my bottles and wait for more rain, I love me rainwater and my dogs do too. You can't drink rain water in the Part of Maryland I'm from. Less than 10 miles from Bethlehem Steel. Acid Rain around these parts. Full of pollution.
And I love sleeping on a rainy day. So nice.

But hope you take a huge toke after your bills are all done. You seem a bit stressed. :lot-o-toke:
