its easier than you think to soak storage up...just as an example..there is a documentary called "ww2 in colour" think that clocks around a hundred gigs on its own!

Whaaat?? The biggest Download I might have is around 30-32 GB's. And that could possibly be the entire Adobe CS4 Master Suite.(speaking like that because of the NSA) I am a conspirator against them. I do not believe in what they do. It's just wrong.

if you are going to get a hid light, I would strongly suggest the 400w. the 250 and the 400w will both produce almost the same amount of heat and the extra watts is going to payback the exspense two fold. that said, many grows seen here at:420:with cfls are also stellar so you go with what you can afford. I got my 400hps from htg supply for alittle over $130 and that was shipping included:peace:

Agree with Fishcake... My 400w setup cost me about $10 cheaper than Fish's!! LOL..So yeah, as she said, for the power your using if you can comfortably setup a space for a 400w MH or HPS, do it.. But you have to work with what you have sometimes, ive even sat my plants in the sun during day and put em under CFL"s at night, not recommended due to pestes etc: but ive done that and harvested couple oz 's still..so you dont have to have a big bang setup, just enough to give you free smoke! Goodluk ..Smokem..

id go with a dual spectrum hps, with digital ballast, most are digital ballasts now.
a mh ballast and bulb is mainly used for the veg stage as it is the blue light needed for veg, it can also be used for flower but wont be as good as a hps,
but if you get a digital ballast with hps bulb then this can also be used for both flower and veg and will give better results than the mh, plus the hps ballast can power my bulbs, only if the ballast is digital, so this means you could use a mh bulb in veg and switcto f to hps in flower, i got a dual spectrum hps 400watt, which gives off both the blue light needed for flower and the orange light needed for flower, you will get better buds using hps when compared with mh in flower,

SO guys, I have bad news, and I have good news. More bad than good. :(

I went to walmart. They don't carry the Lights I was looking for in my local store. They were out of the 3'x7' emergency blankets, and the only small fans they had, did not oscillate.

More bad news... I lost a plant. :( my A$$hole friggin cat decided to smack one while i had the lite breeze blowing on them.. SO I'm down to 3.

Good News: I ordered The emergency blankets and HydroFarm 2' double T-5 light fixture And some thumbtacks to hold everything in place..

More bad news... They wont be in till Thurs 7/26 - Wed - 8/1....

So I hope my little skinny plants can last that long. If not, I still have about 35 seeds in a baggie. And I'll just start over with all the goodies....

do you have a dicks sporting goods around bet you could have got those blankets there. I dont have an oscilating fan either but I do have a 4"fan blowing strait on my plants and that helped bulk up the stems when they were little. your cat knew that one plant was a male and saved you some greif.:)

do you have anywhere sunny that you can put them, then use what you got when they are not in the sun, i use 400watt hps but if the suns out and shining in my lounge then some go hidden on the balcony and the rest sit on a table in the sun, and after 2 days you can really notice the plants benefit from the sun

They've been in my window sill since they sprouted. Only Runing off of Sunlight and Darkness on the Normal Hours of the day. Which in MD we're having daylight from About 6:45am - Around 7:45pm. SO they're on an odd 13lighted-11nonlighted hour system

Hey kid, do you have a discount store like Big Lots, Marcs, a place that sells close outs? They should have fans in stock right now, and much cheaper, they don't have to osilate at this time, but you'll need one eventually.. As for the cat situation, grow him his own little grow as you grow your own. I grew lemon catnip for my cats, they leave the other alone, you have lots of seeds, start over with 4 more just in case something happens to the others, that's why you germinate more then you think you'll grow, sometimes shit happens. Good luck, don't give up on the search:thumb:/grace

its as nature intended mate, if their in the sun then they are healthy and loving every minute of it, as soon as the suns out here i get my plants out the light and stick them in the sun, the sun is giving them way more than any light we can produce, so they should be doing ok,
i mean if you wanted you could leave a light on or 2 or 3 of the normal household bulbs and leave this on over night for a little boost when its dark, but for now i think you will be ok with the sun, they need a full 12 hours of dark before they flower and the plants need to be mature enough to start flowering which is around weeks for to 6, when i do my 12-12 from seed i dont see any sign of flowering for the first 4 weeks so even with 12 hours of dark they wont flower till mature enough,
all i can really add is make sure your not over watering as that stunts growth, its what i did when i started growing in feb and after i stopped worrying about lack of water i soon found they grew like crazy, so only water when the pot is dry, poke your fingers down and check it about 3 inches down and if its wet when you pull it out then dont water, if its dry and nothing sticks to finger then water it,

when you water make sure you get an even cover over the top of the pot, puring the water with a jug creates channels which the water then runs down and drains out the bottom, so try and make sure it soaks into the whole of the pot, i thought i was watering one of my plants then noticed that as soon as i watered it come strait out the bottom, then i realised the plant was struggling because of this, so then i stood the pot in water and let it soak it up then the plant recovered,

couple of things...
donpaul.p i can only assume you mean normal household cfls? incandesant bulbs are only good for global warming ;)
if you do mean normal cfls, then most are 2700k but you can buy 6500k if you look hard enough.

spraying the surface of the soil a few mins b4 you water can help a little with water spread.

never underestimate the power of mirrors (or taut survival blankets) to channel sunlight into a room that has little.

overwatering can be prevented by perlite..you the grower decide how often you would like to water and mix the volume of perlite accordingly ;)
