Dennise - No Longer The Newest Of Newbies - Not Growing In MG - Perpetual

See, I would think that if it's organic, then they would state that it is, like Roots soil does. The TGA super soil also says organic on it. A lot of amendments will say 'organic' or OMRI on it.

I'm a little skeptical on the pro-mix so far. I think my next round will be super soil made with Roots organics soil.

Being 100% organic is important to me.

Even if a bag says "organic," it still means nothing, really. Anything which is made of carbon qualifies as organic! So it's really a BS play on terms. Only if something says, Certified Organic, is it truly in every way an organic product. It means that any parts of the materials are strictly guided by very tightly regulated lists from which to choose. The list of certified organic acceptable products can easily be looked up online. The Pro Mix has mychorrizae. That is all I can see which is of any value above an ordinary bag of peat and perlite. I buy my mychorrizae at an organic garden center. I've been using it in my home gardens for years and it really is an amazing thing. Look up the term, "fungal mat" and marvel at what this fungi does for our planet. Sorry I'm on my soap box. Years of lecturing and blathering is a hazard! Goodnight everybody...sleep well.

lol they make everything out of plastic. the us market sticks it in our food and think it qualifies as good nitrogen/nitrates. i'm pretty sure she's using synthetic nutes so soil wont really matter, again everything else in the world is plastic which is oil and other heavy metals not great for you but what can you do?

if its omri it was tested and organic enough

i currently use good fish a fertilizer from deep water fish, but I might switch to organic vegan like alfalfa meal teas and see how that works cause the fish is stinky and when it spills i get pissed

Yes, I totally agree with this. It has to be certified, to be truly organic. Although, I don't know if the same state organizations that certify food, also certify soil or other things that are non-foods. I've been very impressed with the Roots Oregonisms Michorrizae plus. That stuff has done wonders for my roots!

Personally, I feel best supporting companies that are focused on organic products. I don't feel Pro-Mix is dedicated to organics, from my observations. I'm sure plants grow well in their products. But in my case, I need everything to be as pure and organic as possible.

Fish emulsion is stinky for indoors. Ooof. If you want a lesser expensive fertilizer, which isn't certified organic because they do use urea (which is not accepted in certification). Hasta Gro. You can buy this at Home Depot. Medina makes wonderful products. Not designed specifically for cannabis, but certainly will do the trick if you are growing outside. Indoors, I am very new at.

here's just a bit of an update. The clone family 5 is still doing really well.... the group babies got a drink of nutes per the suggestion of the King :adore:and seem quite happy and the closet girls are still looking amazing...................:circle-of-love:

Looks great Dennise! You are having a very successful grow! :circle-of-love:
On those two green giants in the tent...LOL...One is taller than the other. I wonder if it would help to switch places for them. Put the taller one at the edge so it wouldn't hit the light if it happens to get any taller. Just a thought if it could be done.

:ciao: Canna Actually there are 3 in there and I tried to change the tallest one in the front with the one to the right (when looking at pic) and the light won't cover the top of the plant. I laid my hand up there this morning cause I too was worried about the top getting burnt and left it there for about 2 minutes and I never even felt warm. I realize the heat is not the only factor with them being that close but think my only option at this point is to bend her back over a bit if she grows any more in height. When I had her bent before it gave me another 3 or 4" which I think will be enough....:passitleft:

Keep an eye on them - those topmost colas will let you know if they're getting too much light - they'll look a bit stunted compared to the lower ones. You'll want to bend them over at that point. They're looking great! You're gonna be impressed.

How long do you think they'll go? It's looks like 4-5 weeks to me ... ?

Are you referring to when a bud site stops having the "porcupine" look & start's having a "curly hair" look?

Okay, sounds like it is what it is then. LOL
Such a terrible problem to have...cannabis that grows too much.....:rofl:

LOL, well put. Yeah, the pistils look like they're trying to hide - they innocently come poking out of the calyx and then say "whoa - too bright!".

I hope that is not what he is saying Broke Ass cause the one in the middle and the one to the left are straight but the one to the right has always had curly hairs on the buds and it is the one farthest from the lights... I have wondered why they are so different but it is a very obvious difference in the way the buds look.........:hmmmm::hmmmm::hmmmm:

Hmm ... don' know why the difference - probably just different plants. You'll know if you see it - mine weren't curly, their pistils just looked shocked. :thedoubletake:

Now this is an interesting convo. What else could cause these curly haired bud sites early on?
