Hi Guys,

Denise, your plants are luscious! I am going to start over again. I just popped in to say I put up a journal, officially. It's nothing special. I do plan to keep a good journal, hopefully with video. I can't wait to start growing in the greenhouse. Almost. This weather is brutal.

Give your plants in vegetative growth 1 teaspoon of Grow Big per gallon, 2.75 teaspoons of Big Bloom per gallon and 1 teaspoon of molasses per gallon.

So what is wrong with her plants, is it magnesium issue ? I have what looks like the same issue. And this sounds incredibly stupid but is that Grow Big, and Big Bloom and molasses at the same time, all in the same gallon ?

There is nothing wrong with my plants. There is some nute burn on the lower leaves on the runt baby but it has been there for some time as she has had many issues in her short life but they were all operator error not hers and yes those are the measurements to go in 1 gallon of water for my girls in veg stage but you do add them separately and never mix nutes together without adding them individually to the water if that makes any sense at all....:circle-of-love:

Well the stretch armstrong closet girl finally got her way and I crawled up in the closet and got the lights a little bit higher. Now she is just going to have to mind and stop getting taller cause there is just no way I can get them any higher but she was almost smashing into it this afternoon and I was afraid that beautiful flower of hers would get burned..:thedoubletake:

Did not mean to be critical of your plants. I have what looks like the same but it is all over the plant. Not a lot of leaves, but just not at the bottom. I think I may have a magnesium issue. I will figure it out.

Thanks !

I did not take it that way and sorry I sounded as tho I did. It did type out kinda rough. My girl was baked and boiled at a very young age and her discoloration is due to that I believe. It has been on her since she started recovery and just never completely went away so I really don't know what you would call it other than a close call..... but she is definitely growing healthy now and has done an incredible job of playing catch up.....:circle-of-love:

Thanks for the answer. I am just trying to figure it out.

No problems, life if good ! :Namaste::peace:

I don't know if this translates into cannabis, but in the years of greenhouse growing I can tell you that a tell tale sign of Mg deficiency is purple foliage and veins. Many times it is in the soil, but not available because the pH has it locked up. I like to give my plants a drink of epsom salt every now and then. I do this for all my plants. A really great home made foliar spray:

1tbsp Seaweed
1tbsp molasses
1tbsp apple cider vinegar
1tbsp epsom salt

Add a gallon of rain water or water which has been sitting. Spray on the undersides of foliage when it is cool in the morning, not at night when the plants can sit wet and get powdery mildew. The plants have micro openings called stomata and those are open to nutrients when the plant is cool and turgid.

Well to be honest I have heard them talking about using epsom salts for things on other links but so far I have been fortunate not to have any type of lock out..:wood: but I am sure it will occur in the future. I love the idea of the formula you posted and it makes perfect sense to me but I am still such a newbie that I am nervous to tell you that it would be OK on Mary Jane but bet someone will be through that will know and comment on it. I love the part about your greenhouse!! My better 3/4 has promised to build me one this spring and I can't wait. I love the idea of using my own compost and other things off of the farm that I just plain don't want in my house for obvious reasons...... So stick around cause I'm sure I will have bunches of questions.. Most will be stupid ones but you will get used to that. Ask the folks around here..lol.....:circle-of-love:

Nah, no question is stupid. I'd still be in first grade if that were the case! When I grew outdoors in containers last summer, I used the foliar spray I use to fertilize through the stomata. In many trials I conducted on garden plants and in particular plants which put out a lot of vegetation and flower insignificantly (as far as aesthetics go). Cannabis is like that. Lots of veg, flowers very potent with medicine, but insignificant in display...nothing to look at unless you are us! Hahaha. I can not find the photos of those plants.

Anyway, ask anything about greenhouse growing and I can probably answer you...but not a pro on cannabis yet. Yet.

I think it is a good thing I won the tent from TopLed cause the Clone family 5 have been tied down as tight as they are going to go and it is only going to be a short time until there is just no way to keep them under the cfl's and not get burnt. The closet girls (which these are clones of) were taller than the whole box by this time but these gals are twisted tight..............:lot-o-toke:

Hey guys... I am looking at buying some ProMix soil and I was wondering if anyone has any info or if there is anyone who has used it and knows anything about it. I can't figure out which I would need the ProMix BX or ProMix Hp??? :hmmmm: I am thinking about trying this soil with growology nutes. Anybody with some knowledge in this area please let me know. Also would this medium work with Doc's kit????

Your awesome King..:adore::adore: that's exactly what I wanted to know. While your here... I am thinking about Doc's kit and high brix. Am I anywhere near ready for such a thing???? Would I be heading in the right direction at least if I ordered the ProMix and started there and used Growology nutes on my run with the wild Thailand seeds. I know it would not be anything like HB but closer to an organic grow and heading toward the knowledge of being able to do a high brix grow. If you think this is a good path for me to head down please let me know what other amendments to order to add to the ProMix. As you know I will have to ask you a lot of questions but want to head in the right direction. I want to stay in soil for sure but would like to produce as clean a product as I possibly can.. I'm rambling again I know but really would like to know your input. As always your the best King....:thanks:
