Very well put Wylde! I used to shake when I saw a cop behind me as a young adult, as if I was a hardened criminal. My brother's life was ruined because he was caught. Many years in jail, and downhill from there. I have never done anything illegal (aside from smoking pot), and I am an upstanding citizen. So as I aged, I decided they were no better than I was, and because I like to smoke, I am not a bad person. Now I smile and wave at our local cops, and never let it bother me! Our favorite neighbor is a cop that lives behind us (and smells my herb daily), but he told us straight up when we met, you do what you do, just don't talk about it to me, and we are all good! He comes over with his wife for drinks every now and then, cool people. It's even better now that it is 100% legal here! He talks about it and laughs with us!
Now, if I was caught off guard like Dennise, I would probably have a lot of things going through my head! LOL!!!
It's all a mindset. I am tired of apologizing to people for medicating, and I refuse to let them think I am wrong, or bad. I am finally proud of who I am, and all of my accomplishments, no more hiding!
Yippee for progress Colorado!!!!
