I'm not sure i can ask this D, I know beantalk is a soar subject. sssshhhhhhhhh!

I have no clue about bean $ is 10-15 per bean average accurate? low or high? thanks,

am I allowed to ask that w/ out breaking a guideline?

the poor beans have to reside in that "gray area"

LMK if u want this post to vanish & I'll turn it into one of these :circle-of-love:

GREAT update! Wow, and you popped three more seeds. You're a little factory.

The flux you have there, is that Growology? Because wow, that's one healthy little thing.

The pot you drilled the holes in looks great with one thing I would suggest. Drill holes in that little bottom circle where water can sit. That can become very anaerobic and get very yucky. You asked LA about putting her in the big pot, and I definitely would have done that if I had my soil ready when I had to transplant the two LK's. They're in 5 gallon now, and after this rain I'm moving it up to their 30 gallon containers. But I wish I would have just planted it in the final resting place. My two cents.

I don't know what LMK means but I got a total of 16 beans for $90 total to the door so it works out rather cheaply....:circle-of-love:

You just can't see them in the pic very well but I drilled about 7 holes in the first band coming up from the bottom and I will layer the bottom with Hydroton pebbles too. I love them and they help with drainage and when I put them on top they help disperse the water when I get a little heavy handed....
Yes the flux baby is all Growology.... Everything is except the 2 SBR's in bloom in the closet but the Wild Thai, OG Kush, SBR in the tent in flower and the flux baby are all Growology now. Just have to finish out the 2 in the closet and everything will be Growology...:yahoo:.....:circle-of-love:

OK its time to bite the bullet my friend! You need to desperately strip all lower nodes!! :) at mo loads of energy is going everywhere! Leaving the top two points that are growing up into your flux arms! (Obviously) :) take all other lower branches off asap!!!!! Then keep gently opening tops up as the flux arms start to grow.
Once all other grow points are stripped your two points will leap forward in growth, being the only possible points left :). You then wait a while before gently starting training!
Also yes go for it with straight to her final home it will make training easier! :) just make sure you get the correct potting level! :)

Awesome beans by the way!!!! :) :)

Fluxers Unite!

:passitleft: High Light... I either did really good or I fluxed up really bad but either way here she is.. I potted her up to what I am guessing is about 20 gallons of Berger BM1 medium with 2/3 cup step 1 Growology added and then watered with 1/2 strength step 2 and she drank up about 1.5 gallons

Bloody awesomeness! :) you really went for it! My kind of extreme! !! Now just treat them points with tender care as Im sure you will! :) just train hard with a gentle touch :) It will take a while before the central joint hardens up and is split or decapitation proof!.
As said gently open ends up as often as you can to keep tighter nodes, giving more frequent arms to train out. Remember you only keep the nodes that are at side of your flux arms not the under and over! :):)

I am a much bigger chicken than you! I think I should go out and trim some fans.

I wanted to post this here on your journal because I find it useful. It is not exact and it generally pertains to straight sided pots (not inverted at the bottom), but you can get a basic idea how to measure a container and how many gallons of soil you can use in it.

Again, not hard science just a general guideline:

Diameter of pot is what you measure. In the industry, height is usually adapted to be used with the particular diameter knowing a certain container will be used for a tree, shrub or annual. With this in mind, shape of pot and height can effect how many gallons it can hold.

4" pot= pint (0.5 quart)
5-6" pot = quart (0.25 gallon)
7-8" pot= 1 gallon
8.5" pot = 2 gallon
10" pot = 3 gallon
12" pot = 5 gallon
14" pot= 7 gallon
16" pot= 10 gallon
18" pot = 15 gallon
24" pot = 25 gal
30" pot= 30 gal

Oh you're fine on size. I went really big to try and avoid needing to water twice a day. I've really pared down how many container plants I have. I love growing in containers (regular gardening), but it just is such high maintenance. There were times when I had to water containers four or five times a day, that's how much water plants use in this heat. How there are any trees is amazing to me.

You have really good mix, really good fertilizer in the Growology and the sun and fresh air/co2/rainwater. Perf!
