Dennise - No Longer The Newest Of Newbies - Not Growing In MG - Perpetual

Ok I need to clarify 2 things I posted wrong... #1 is the size of the post that were put in the ground and then the trellis put over the post and screwed into the post.... I put that it was a 2x4... wrong..... it was a 2x2 and it was buried 2 feet deep and the trellis sits over the post for about 2 feet and is screwed in to the post..... #2 with the new grow space, seeds and light I will be using Growology nutes only.....
OKOKOK I will tell ya this.... I have a Secret Jardin DarkRoom II Pro 60 - 24 x 24 x 64 Inches. It is the same size as the tent I won from Top Led but the Top Led is only 4.5' tall and this one is 5.4" but they are both 2'x2'.... I have already told ya'll about most of the seeds that are on the way and they have been shipped. I don't know for sure which seeds will be sent in the ones I won..... the nutes that wil be used will be strickly Growology and the new light will be a Green Sun.... I will be running same beans and same nutes in both tents using Top Led in one and Green Sun in the new tent....:yahoo:... I am so excited and I can't wait for everything to get here.......:circle-of-love:

Got a few pics of the outside garden girl and the fluxing baby. I have been setting her outside for the last few days just to get her used to being out of the house. I know how stressful leaving the house can be.....:circle-of-love:

The fella ran out of time and I forgot to get him to drill out the holes in my flux pot but he left the right drill bit in the drill for me and told me the easiest way to do it so will be doing that later today. Most likely much later today as it is supposed to be 86 degrees today and humid so will probably wait till this evening to do it when it cools back off... The 2 days of spring sure were nice.... It is supposed to be back down to the 60's by Thursday but we shall see..... I'll show you guys what I do once I have got it done....:circle-of-love:

Ug, I know about this dumb heat, but we did have a nice long spring. It's actually been cold, but to me 70 is a bit cold out. Go figure. I'm going to be posting photos in the Virtual Couch and also LA's flux training journal. I have damn cucumber beetles chewing me down. I may have to do something about it.

It's supposed to rain, rain, rain, so you may get this after it leaves here.

Supposed to start raining Wed evening and then rain for several days...:yahoo:.... I hate using the hose on anything cause the water is so nasty here. I tote gallons of purified water to my girls but I don't even like using it on my flowers or vegetables but I can't afford to buy water for all of it.......:circle-of-love:

A little more on my news... I will be running new seeds under a new light in a new grow space..... More to come as things proceed.... It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood......:circle-of-love:

I am so happy for you! Your defol looks great, and your buds are beautiful! Thanks for the example! :MoreNutes::green_heart::circle-of-love:

Just beautiful! :green_heart:

You sound like a good candidate for a couple rain barrels, Dennise.

Definitely rain barrels. You should call your town and find out if they have a discount program, it may surprise you. We recently picked up two more 75 gallon barrels for 100 dollars after rebate from the city. They are premium brand, too. Ivy Rain Barrel.

Anyway, go over to LAs fluxing central for my latest flux and ground update.

BTW Fifi, the garden looks so sweet. I have to say, growing lavender from seed is very difficult and you not only did that, but they are flowering. I imagine they are 'Hidcote?' That is the easiest of the seed to germinate, but in the greenhouse I always just bought rooted plugs simply because of how hard it was to get germinate rates up. Good for you!

If you buying purified water (I think i also seen you mentioning buying distilled water) you may want to consider investing in an RO filter, I got one off amazon for ~$150 works great. Had a bit of trouble hooking up without leaking but bought right adapter and no leaks now. Only negative is can only fill 3 gallons at a time without having to wait an hour or two to full its little 3-5 gallon tank. But when not used it for a few hours pressure is REAL good. iSpring was the brand.

My PPMs went from about 80-100 out of the tap to <10. But pH goes real high or low REAL quick when using pH up or down cause no buffer in RO water.

Rain barrels is good idea too.

I think I am going to have to look into this at my local hardware store. I will admit at $0.88 a gallon it is getting a bit much.....:circle-of-love:

I take that as the highest praise coming from you Garden ....:thanks: I rooted it in plugs and there are still about 7 of them that are real small across the front of the shells but it is growing a bit more every day. Oh and I checked with the county and they laughed at me after a 30 minute conversation of trying to get them to understand what I was asking....lol... I don't think they have a rain barrel program in Hootersville......:cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley:
I will check your girls out in just a bit.....:circle-of-love:
Looking good my friend :) could you get some more pic of the flux up, side on etc so I can see where were at :) Thanks:) also post any fluxing pics to my thrsad you want for a quick answer! :)
I just took more pics of her and I will post them as soon as I get them loaded Sir....:circle-of-love:

:high-five: I think I am going to try and see if I can get the rain barrels but if not this will be my next investigation....:circle-of-love:

Sam's Club, Home Depot, they all sell rain barrels for a good price, but I have and still do have several plastic garbage cans that I fill with overflow water. You can always just use a garbage can with a screen tightly tied around the top for mosquitoes and use the cover to keep it dark. Have your sweetie cut one of your leaders from the roof to go right into the garbage pail. You can probably get a 32 gallon can for under 15 at the depot.

I have another bit of an update going on here... :yahoo:... It has been a very good day..:goof:.... I will start with the stuff Light asked for and here are some pics of the flux girl and I got all the holes drilled in the new pot... Fella didn't get it done but he put the bit in the drill for me so all I had to do was drill the holes. Guess he figured I couldn't even flux that up... Light can I just go ahead and pot her up into the huge pot and start fluxing from there or do I need to get her started in the 1 gallon pot? Just seems it would be easier to have her in her final home
