Delicious Seeds Cheese Candy & HSO Amherst Sour Diesel By The Tard

I believe it was just a bum seed. Not that big of deal since it was a freebie. I just wish I had more bud from it because it tastes great.

I do really need to pick up a refractometer. I'm wanting to tweak my garden growing area to get higher brix starting next year, but there's no way I can do that volume of space with docs kit. Time to do some more research.

Doc's kit is pretty versatile. I only grow one plant at a time. What size space are you growing in?

I have two fairly compact spaces I use. One for veg & one for flower. I can probably fit around 4-12 plants in there depending on the size. 12 would probably have to be in 2 gal pots at the biggest to cram them in.

I think you were confusing my mention of my vegetable garden, however. I'm sorry, I should have specified. We just moved in last November. I had major back surgery this summer so we planted small this year. Basically we put in a test garden. It is going to get expanded next year and I'm studying up on the best ways to improve our crop. High Brix definitely caught my eye and I'm wanting to start implementing it, but I'm not going to be able to invest in lab testing and custom amendment packages. I know there are ways to tweak it to at least improve the brix of my families food and I'm researching how to better do that.

Hey Tard....what goin on my friend...cheers !

Good day Morglie, about your High Brix garden. If you ask Doc Bud he will gladly save you a lot of time and money figuring out your garden for next year. The "Kit" and it's ingredients can be easily adapted to outdoor gardens. If it's not too large i would think about asking him for his thoughts bud,...just sayin. Have a great afternoon Morglie!:high-five:

He can alway do 6-5-3 high brix. I can't remember where that info Doc posted is at but im sure if you ask him he'll point you in the right direction. Its calcium carbonate, soft rock phosphate and gypsum I believe 6 parts of the cc, 5 parts of srp and 3 parts gypsum. Don't quote me on that. Ask Doc :)

Yes Tard, you are correct sir. That is another option too. I actually started with doc's 6/5/3 soil before switching over to the "kit'. It's a fantastic way to improve outdoor native soil,...throw in some EWCings and Bam! Cheers bud!

That's the route I'm planning on going. I need to dig back into the 6-5-3 method. I recall seeing that when I first started researching high brix after looking into the "kit" i kept hearing about.

Next year I'm planning on expanding to at least a 30x50ft plot for the veggie garden. Way to big for kit soil. I keep coming across biochar which seems to be a component in high brix as well. I have a pile charging with chicken compost at the moment.

I need to get a worm bin going as well. So much to do and this 10lb weight limit is driving me nuts in trying to accomplish any of it.....

The labs will make a custom blend of amendments for you based off the soil test and the size of your garden. It's just not something I have the funds for at the moment. They are getting directed towards other projects. I might go that route eventually but I'd like to go with a more sustainable option.

6-5-3 is the way to go Morglie

Morning to ya Tard....day off for ya?
Hey Morglie, ya Tard has some good advise there with going with 6/5/3. it's very effective at replenishing lost minerals in native soils and will definitely go a long way in giving you a great final crop. Before ya go with it , find out what else your native soil is lacking..and add it in now with the minerals. Maybe some EWC'ings too! cheers bud and have an awesome Saturday!:Namaste:

Well, there they are! The 2 ASDs are doing great, the SV (Moxie Seeds' Snake Venom) is just a baby but doing great as well. The cheese candy is still looking disabled and the empty pot has a Barnys Farm Vanilla Kush in it (thanks Gov). They got some transplant finally. I used a gallon of water with 5 mils of transplant and .5 mils of tea and bottom fed them all. They loved that! The cheese candy will be snipped if she doesn't smarten up...probably will anyway when the vanilla kush comes up. And once the vanilla kush is the size of those asd, they'll all be transplanted into 10s, given a couple of days to settle in then flipped. Happy Sunday all :)

Our plants look about the same size, even the small one in the mix. Your moving them to 10s and 12/12 right away? I gotta get my efing light installed tonight or tomorrow....

Yup! I usually go from solos to 2 gallons then into 10s but I'm running out of head stash so I have to get these in flower quick. When I go from 2s to 10s I give them time to adjust based on their transplant shock, which usually doesn't happen at all, so I transplant then flip within a day or 2. I like to let them have all that soil energy to flower. Some give them 2 weeks or so to adjust to the bigger pots, I dont. Its a matter of personal preference I reckon :)

I know Zigs goes from 12/12 from seed all the way through. Waiting 4 months from start to finish is tough man. I'm going to use your journal as a comparison. I am planning a good veg, with only 2 plants size for flower is needed (I think).

Edit : I mean I know a larger plant produces more, but I am interested in the final size of your plants.

Top of the mornin to ya Tard! Your lil girls are lookin pretty good bud! You doin a Vanilla Kush...i grew a couple in 6/5/3 before i got into the "kit" 4 yrs. ago . I liked it but it was nothing special enough for a repeat grow of it. Ya have to let her finish ...all the way for the flavors to come out that they claim are there! Mine was just OK...hope your is better....don't get me wrong though, it looked great, had a good yield and behaved all the way thru ..it just wasn't quite as expected is all. You may do better with it in the 'Kit" ...it'l be cool to see what you can do with her, so i'l be closely watching your VK. Cheers pal and have a great Sunday Tard!:Namaste::high-five:

Well, last night I hit the bigger two with a 50% brix mixture and made my ghetto co2 with sugar and yeast and this morning they're all LOVING life :) I dont care what anyone says, all it takes is a lil bit of knowledge of the kit and a bit of co2 and these plants will thrive big time! :)
