Delicious Seeds Cheese Candy & HSO Amherst Sour Diesel By The Tard

I use my soil straight out of the bin! Its second round soil with some old stuff in there too somewhere. My last batch of soil went 6 rounds before I retired it to the garden. I always start my seeds in our soil but just use water until I see 5 bladed leaves then ill hit em with a good drink of transplant. That is when ill start to hit them with a 50% brix mixture. From then on I alternate; water, energy, water, trans...so on til its time for cat. Once they have some substance and the main stem isnt green, ill hit them every 5 days with full strength brix (that also depends on their vigor). I dont soak with my sprays like others do tho, I find its a waste of product. Usually ill only use DeStress after transplant but most times I cant tell the difference at transplant cuz my plants never show signs of stress lol

Thanks for the knowledge Tard. The more and more I grow with the kit and ask questions, the more I understand this growing system. I appreciate the help all of the HB guys give.

Cheers

I've been growing in my own mix for a year and I'm evaluating Doc's kit. I've seen quite a few brix grows in that one year. Watching Duggan and Stage and following here. Flashed through your last journal.

Earlier you said you threw back to nature a 6 round mix and you're now on 2nd iteration on a new pile. You are obviously an experienced grower. In your grows before using Doc Bud's kit, did you have successful grows but the quality or potency not live up to current standards?

I've never had what I consider a great grow and I've never had a failure. But the quality of what I've grown is believed to be top shelf. Even the autos I've grown get me all messed up. I'm been a smoker since 1968.

Kicker: That's just smoking a bowl from a glass pipe. If I do dabs or ingest some CCO the rocket goes off and I get back when I get back. I'm retired and grow for myself and for gifting. I'm a long time cig smoker so taste and smell are severely limited but I do love to bury my nose in my jars. I can detect the differences in strain scent and the various terpenes.

Sorry for the ramble. Would you tell me about what your grows were like before kit? Was it soil or hydro? and since you're in CO, you've probably sampled other grower's product. Does Kit grow quality of product blow 'em all away or what?

Thanks. Loved that Rare Darkness! :goodjob:

Evenin bud, hey MJ...there are many things i like about Doc's gear but the one that keeps me praising him and the "Kit" is , there is NO guess work anymore with growing . Doc and AG labs in the US worked together and after much testing and grows the "kit" was born. All guess work left in the labs! That's why the kit is so special and so many of us rave about it...it just works the best of any system i've tried since i started in 1986 . Cheers MJ and Tard....Tard knows ,..he's been around these parts for some time and has much valuable experience with it ,and he loves it too! cheers Gang....:Namaste::circle-of-love:

I really only wanted to start growing weed about 4 years ago, so thats what I did. I discovered DBHBB and been at it since. So I know how to use the different stuff in the kit but not much else. Wasnt really a big smoker. I was in the military for 10 years. Anyway, yeah, ive been at the kit since day one and its all I really want or need. I've tried plenty here in co but it's just not what I grow. I was excited to try some but was disappointed when I realized my stuff is better...way better.

I'm high as a kite on some HSO High Brix Blue Dream right now. It has a long cure so 4 hits off the pipe and I am GOODNESS! :)

Good new is my BD popped from seed and I'm looking forward to growing her.

Got it. This is the type of information I need. Thanks Duggan!

OK. So this is good information. After I wrote, I went to your first page and got more information.

:thanks: for your service.

Thanks also for your help.

I can't wait. The stuff I grew before this isn't cutting it.

Hey Noob. Forgive me for not mentioning that I follow your grow. On a smaller scale, my first grow in a cabinet used a scrog for a while....was a challenge at the time. Looking back I just laugh but it taught me I could grow this plant.

So your grow is a continual help. :bongrip:

You're very welcome Jim! I initially started growing for my ex who had a horrible back. Docs kit just so happened to be in its infancy and I stumbled onto it, asked around then purchased one. What makes it special, and you can ask anyone whos smoked herb from kit soil, is that its a different high than what youd get from a conventional soil or hydro grow. People who are big smokers, unlike me, say if they smoke too much it kinda takes the fun out of it...know what I mean? Lol. I know a few old school smokers and they keep bugging me, asking me when ill have a new strain going or when it'll be done. Its a different smoke that youll have to experience to understand and the best part is, is Doc took all the guesswork out of using it. Literally plug and play. Have a good sunday Jim :)

Thanks for the kind words Magic Jim. You see how fast I got that damn scrog out of my tent right?

Cheers MJ

Ok so the cheese candy is worrying me. The thir set of leaves are looking weird too. Instead of waiting for her to hermie on me later on I've decided to crack an original amnesia from dinafem. We'll see how that goes :)

I'm beginning to wonder about the quality of seeds I've received. And then I also have some beautiful seedlings too.

My very first grow was a high brix white widow that came out spectacularly! The kit is really that easy Jim. And the best part is its almost foolproof and produces herb second to none :)
I havent grown any delicious seeds gear before so I can't comment on that but theyre 0/2 in my book...not a good start

I have 2 or 3 Cheese Candy plants in 2 gallon Smart Pots that are well into flowering. It looks they are going to produce some pretty decent bud, Ive never tried the strain before so I'm hoping it's good.
I just harvested an Amherst Sour Diesel a month or so back and while it didn't produce a whole lot, what it did give up was nice.
Best of luck.:thumb:

I just finished drying my first plant to finish in the kit. I don't really count it as a real finish. Herbie's free dina fem seed. Fairly low thc and it auto flowered on me and wouldn't reveg. It looked half dead and spindly. I got a 1/4 off it total. Basically pretty pathetic and it should have been culled.

Still with all that, it still has an amazing taste and is pretty damned potent. More so than the black diesel I grew in Los, which should have be stronger.

I have two tomato plants that are the same except one is in the kit. There is a very noticeable difference in the flavor and juciness between the two. It takes the taste from 2 dimensional to 3 dimensional.

Sent from this funny device I carry around and still call a phone even though I hardly ever make calls with it.

Bummer about your seeds Tard.

It is what it is bro! I was hoping for a cheesy strain but alas, its not to be lol. I have a ton of seeds anyway :)

Im hoping for good results from the ASDs. The cheese candy aint gonna make it in my tent but im sure the snake venom, asd and original amnesia will do just fine :)
Thanks

That's weird, ive grown strawberry cough and dinachem from dinafem and they turned out fantastic! You know you can check brix numbers on those tomatoes Morglie. The kit is something special. Its a totally different and unique high that just cant be beat! Nice and clean :)
