Delicious Seeds Cheese Candy & HSO Amherst Sour Diesel By The Tard

Morning Tard! I vegged my ASD's in 2 gallon soft pots and transplanted to 10 gallon soft pots. They stretched about 25 percent, not too bad. I ended up with about 4 oz. It was topped once.
Can confirm on the stretching. This strain is very short. Had to sit up about 6 inches to be level with the rest of the canopy.

Hey Tard...

I like building roots in a #2 (1.75 gallon) plastic pot before transplant into my 20 gallon fabric. My rooted cuttings go into a #1 (.75 gallon) first where I let the roots fill the container there too.

Rooting from a #1, then #2, then #20.

Would you suggest a smaller pot for the rooted cuttings first? Going from #1 to #2 is kind of a pain and seems pointless.

When it comes to rooted clones I'd do what a friend of mine does. He puts the clones in 1 gal plastic pots then into 5 gal plastic pot then into 20 gallon cloth to finish. Ive seen him pull almost 2 lbs off of one plant using that method. Hes an original kit user too. He used to be called curso on here :)
But to me the most important part is letting the plants get rootbound and when transplanting, scoring the rootball in four different places. I rarely, if ever, get transplant shock with this technique

Funny... I got the 20 gallon fabric pot idea from Curso. Was a long time ago, and I couldn't remember his root building technique.

I want to try that soon, but no room for a 5 gallon. I veg for a friend also. Hopefully he'll get his veg area set up soon.

Going from a #2 to a #20 takes forever for the pot to dry out the couple times I need it to before I flip to flower.

If I vegged in a #5, I could probably transplant to #20 then flip letting the roots spread out during the stretch.

I always transplant then flip within a day or 2. The new roots get all the energy to flower :)

Im gonna throw mine into 2 gal plastic pots and let them get rootbound probably next weekend. Theyll be in 10s to finish. Not sure what the total veg time will end up as. Did yours change color?

No mine didn't change color but not many strains change for me. My night time temps only drop to about 70 so that is probably why.
My ASD went 77 days on 11/13. I gave it a super drench and followed that with a heavy OG drench. It will collapse after the og drench so be prepared to support it. I've got a nice big clone going of it and will probably keep this strain around for a while!

It really is a nice strain to grow, very durable. Is it possible to take clones when you're deep into flower?

I would love to do some 20s, space is an issue for a pot that size tho. How long does it take to go from 1-5-20?

That depends on the strain really but he was a 3 to 5 month vegger. Ive never done it personally cuz I don't have the room either but if I did I would. Its not really a matter of time so to speak, its a matter of letting the plants get rootbound :)

Evenin around these parts Tard and friends. Hey bud...three strokes of the hacksaw...she's compost! Her sister is looking better already...cheers , and thanks for the push!:thumb::Namaste:

You know me bud, straight to the point. Id have not said that if I'd have not done it myself. Ive had to chop plants that were in their final containers...sucks, but it happens bro
