Hi V! It is! It's what the tomatoes are getting too and they're going strong as well. I'm thinking of the two week feed intervals. Since I used new foxfarm ocean forest soil amended with @Geoflora from the start, it started a cycle of the Geoflora's 2 weeks decay along with the 2 weeks+ the soil generally has. At the first top dress the originals weren't used up. Now the 2nd top dress and it's still not used up. I'm staying with two weeks unless I see a problem. There is one yellow leaf at the very bottom but not spreading so far.

Something different I'm doing this outdoor grow is I'm using regular hose water from my well. What a difference in labor! Last time I used rain water and had to lug it a ways. Did I mention I was phing nutes too? Yikes! That's out so I'm glad to have a much easier and organic grow!
 
That's a stunner Otter, and all the better that it's a Stankberry! Nice job getting the hook in there early to hold it up in flower. It's going to look like a maypole by harvest time.

I wanted to use GF for my outdoor grow, too so that Felonious could just water in the nutes every 2 weeks but I was worried I'd run out doing that and since the GF is supposed to be for the GSCs, I decided not.

However, the outdoor plants haven't been fed in over a week because it's been wet. If I had been using GF, this wouldn't be an issue.

My ladies are soaking up the sun and heat, too!I topped two of them at 5' hoping to reach the top after the stretch. We'll see! The shade temp has been over 90 for the last 3 days. Melting here. Can barely sleep at night with a fan on!! But my microbe solution is giving the plants a great grow! It's still unbelieveable!! Anyways, Happy Vapin'

I'm liking the "set it and forget it" approach. Feed, set a reminder to do it again in the phone, done! Only one or two more veg feeds and on to Flower!

Whew! We got relief overnight with some rain and it's 70 this morning.

What do you do to prepare your soil before you plant?

The sun and breeze makes for such a different sight than in the tents. And big leaves! I like growing out.

I put down some compost, earthworm castings, and mulch with bailed hay (compost grade). I keep adding things,( grass clippings, comfrey leaves, and microbe solution throughout the grow. In the fall, I put a measure of lime. The only other thing I use is the JADAM method of composting (basically, a bucket with water and weeds (nettles, dandilions, whatever grows around) and microbes. It works extremely well for me.

No rain here, but it's coming tonight! Yeah, such a relief to have a cool breeze occasionally blow through! Humidity and temp are both down!! Happy Vapin'

I did DeeCee. About a week before I put her in I mixed 3 cups into ~3.66 cu ft of fresh foxfarms ocean forest soil and it sat wet. Been scratching the same amount every two weeks into the top. A total of 6 cups so far. One or two more veg feedings I think, then onto flowering, my favorite time watching bud grow.

I've grown outdoors once a few years ago and I don't remember. It's soon though. I think I might be seeing her cola ends clumping up now. I'll know more in a few days.
 
Hi all. We've been wondering when the flowering will begin. I we\nt back into the Tut/Pineapple Chunk journal and found the first pic I added to 420Mag was dated August 13th. Pistols look a week or more in production. So soon I should see some action!

I looked back in my pics as well to my last outdoor grow and mine looked just like that picture on August 19 from southern Ontario!

Hah! Very much the same! So the bunching up really could be the start for me. It's raining and I haven't seen it today. Tomorrow I hope.
