Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

Thank you LEDRF! I was just dreaming about that Perfect Sun 1000 :sigh:

Sheesh.. lights.. seeds.. I got problems man

I have a Devil Cream that is equally as dark. Makes me glad I picked these for seeding :) I've always been a huge fan of Pakistani genetics and Sweet certainly hooked into a dark pheno I'm thinking. I've grown Chitral several times and only had a few come close to what these auto's are showing me.

:Namaste:

Your colors are breathtaking. I can't see the true color of my buds yet. They're just starting to swell enough to see the different purple tones.

Gypsy, your specimen has to be one of the darkest yet.

Some pretties to share. I've been torturing her with an essential oil foliar every three days in an attempt to increase trichome development. I think it may be working.

She's at Day 73 now. I figure another week or two.

Thank you wonderful lady :hugs:

And fast :) She seems to be finishing a bit quicker than the average from what I have seen. I assume the speed is in part due to the CS. Maybe the small pot plays a role. Or perhaps Dr Livingston has been injecting it with steroids when I am at work lol. As for that darkness! I would love to duplicate that again. I'm thinking it's more of a genetics thing though. My temps are not particularly cold. Mid to upper 70's. Maybe even some low 80's since I changed the schedule to 20/4 in the veg tent for the auto's.

Here's a good link Feminizing Seeds by Soma

A few pics.. well ok, I'm glad I did a 50/50 cut now. Getting anxious to smoke some lol.

Trimmed for cure..

My leaves were black like yours, so I'm interested in seeing how dark the buds turn out to be. One of my last ones was that dark, and that'll hook you for sure. :laughtwo:

Sorry guys, wrong thread. :laughtwo: I thought I was on gypsy's thread. Let me take that post there. Lol!

It is addicting :laughtwo: I want to start another already. :) I like that hint of Blueberry look yours has at the tips. Can't wait to see it dry.

I jarred up Selina's head for 12 hours to even out some of the remaining moisture. She was getting a little dry at the tip and that log of a stem is taking forever LOL. She went back to the dark box nice and soft again. I'm thinking she might be ready for the weekend. I have a smaller sample that is almost ready. Probably when I get home. That will tie me over lol. She smells amazing though.. tough to put a finger on it. Earthy with hint of fruit.

Most of the remaining torso is done producing any kind of white hairs. I think the nanners have stopped as well. From the quick look I had this morning she looks sticky lol.

wow. wow. if you do not mind sharing what is the essential oil and its ratio to water? dang, that is something.

Certainly. Cajun did a stint as a professional cultivator and this is one of the tricks professional concerns use to increase the shelf value of their produce. I wasn't sure it'd work on an auto, given the shortened lifespan, but with this one in particular it's worked well. I forgot to give them the spray today. Let me post this and do that real quick.

It breaks down to:

- The essential oils are a mix of cinnamon bark, clove, rosemary, thyme and oregano. Combine them into one container. Store that somewhere very dark.
- Dilute at a rate of 1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml) of mixed oils to a gallon of water.
- Use as a drench or foliar. I chose foliar in the end because I wasn't comfortable with adding it to my living organic soil.
- Begin at week three of bloom.
- Apply every three days through to harvest.

You can appreciate how this would increase in effectiveness the longer you were in flower.

She's a beautiful one Atulip. I may be taking mine down by the end of next week as well. She's beginjing to race to the finish. I don't watch for amber trichomes on my DDAs. I watch for that day when everything shifts to cloudy. I prefer no amber trichomes at all on my plants, if it can be helped.

A couple fun shots from my garden. She's at Day 77 and, as you can see, most of her trichomes are still clear.

No wonder we're so enamoured with the strain. Such beauty deserves devotion, don't you think?

Amber trichs are the THC degrading to cbn. I aim to harvest at 5-15% Amber for most stuff unless too many clear trichs are present. I figure as soon as the exposed trichs start turning amber, the rest of the plant should be at peak content.

Plus my eyes are bad, spotting Amber is a lot easier for me than telling cloudy/clear apart. Lol

Nearly lost my sip of water there Atulip.

Good rationale.

I swear, sometimes cannabis looks like it's alien.

I'm always left feeling I'm raising some feral strain of cannabis. :laughtwo: They're so incredibly beautiful and they grow more stunning with each passing day.

Mine's at Day 78.

 Most of the time I have to take a sample. Take a picture of it, and then look. I cross reference that with what I see through the loop magnifier because neither are quite clear lol. :geek:

Well the rest of Selina is on day 78 and there's not a white hair on her/him. The main cola went into the cure jar,
but I took a small sample :)

Smell - Blackberry raisin spice. Definite blackberry omg.

Taste - Same but smoother than expected with a hint of Nicotiana rustica taste at exhale. It's complex.. sometimes finishing like a good pipe tobacco. No real after taste.. maybe a hint of the blackberry spice.

The buzz :) - Pretty much that Chitral Pakistani big dumb grin whole body effect. Not speedy but not heavy and burnt out either. At least not yet :laughtwo: Still working on it. :smokin2:
