Welcome little ones. Grow big and strong. :circle-of-love:

What's she measure side to side and vertically arteekay? I'm wondering also, what did you get from the first harvest? I'm going to be harvesting mine within the next month and I'm wondering how the different training techniques might be effecting yield.

For you SweetSue, I'll run down and check. :)

She's 25 inches long from flower center to flower center, add another 3 or 4 inches for the fan leaves. She's 16 inches wide at the ends and about 12 in the middle. As for height she's got buds from 6-8 inches off the soil in the middle and up to about 12 on the long ends. She's got at least a dozen tops that I'm thinking will be full blown nugs.

Her longest branches aren't just straight out though, I made a few of them 90 left or right before coming back up, just to fill in the ends and not get too far out from the pot. If she was straight I'd bet she'd hit 30 inches.

Our last one had issues (at about this age actually) where two branches on each end started to separate from the trunk, so I had to release all the training and settle for 6 main tops. She gave us 81 grams, a little under 3 ounces. I'm definitely expecting a better return from this one.

That's amazing arteekay. You're on to something here. I have another coming up behind her big sister and I'm going to try to replicate what you're doing here. I'm mighty impressed. :high-five:

How unfortunate for you. I'm so sorry to hear that. This is the very first I've heard about this happening at all. Anyone else have any input here? This is wrong, on too many levels. That amazing buzz, coupled with the beauty of the specimens, is why so many of us keep growing one at every opportunity. We have to help you find out what happened there so you can get better results the next time.

I've always grown mine in living organic soil. My no tills are filled with beneficial microbes busy growing my plants for me. bobrown14 and I have surmised that it's possible the intensity of our harvests may be related to the soil we grow in, since we grow in the same formula mix, but we aren't the only cultivators to get the intense buzz.

All I can offer is this meager virtual hug, but please imagine all my care and affection poured into it. :hugs:

I made the MISTAKE of sharing with a few friends... they won't leave me alone, I have to turn off my celly. To the OP keep smoking it's gonna change ...

Hello Sue, this is the 3rd Dark Devil Auto that I have chopped so far. My initial smoke report is here: Personal Organic Grow with Mars Hydro

On top of that I passed some of this to an old grower friend of mine that has been growing commercially underground using chemical nutrients and he thought it was the best smoke that he'd ever had. He was stood there with a big smile on his face telling me how his brain was tingling whilst I was in a fit of giggles. In the end there were two grown men sat rolling around in his kitchen having the best fun on a smoke that we'd had in probably 15-20 years, both having uncontrollable fits of laughing at each other laughing for nothing

I would recommend this thoroughly therapeutic medicinal strain anytime to anyone :)

And there ya go.. maybe its all about the soil (it is for me 100%)!!?? The DD is not the most potent med in my medicine cabinet but it sure is one of my favorites. If nothing else it gives me the giggles just like that ^^^^ followed by a very good happy day! Pretty much the point of all of this right! Happy Daze!

Just a little side nugget... finally after all these years my wife finally opted in on the trimming duties. We did it assembly line style, she trimmed all the fans and I trimmed and cut the buds... 6 zips (not DD) in jars in 1.15 hrs.. and cleaned up.

She was amazed how good her skin on her hands fells after holding stems with resin all over them. It's really amazing how soft and yet tough my skin on my hands is from trimming once or twice a month. Maybe yet another use for canna.. skin treatments. Think about how that would play out in a nail salon... canna foot bath followed by soaking finger tips in a canna dip, while taking a few vapes of your favorite home grown = business model? Maybe we are not there yet, but hey there's a momentum going in favor of out favorite flower! Our state just passed medicinal Canna law over the weekend! I'm seriously freaked out - I was fur sure thinking we would be the LAST state to do that.

I do have 2 DD plants hanging to dry. They are about a day or so out for trim. Purps on the line in da house! Yeah U right!

My next run of autos is going to be 15 DD each one in 2 gal pots, shooting for a # dried and cured.

Selina Kyle day 65.

it's killin' me :laughtwo: she's fox tailing so she's done enough for a 4/20 cut. done enough for mature seeds? hmmmm not so sure. so after much pacing and toking we have come to a mutual decision to cut the top cola tomorrow and leave the rest for another week or two. i had to take her outside to see natural light first.. it was part of the deal.

Hi everyone, could I please pick your brains? I'm really struggling when it comes to harvest. I've read all sorts of conflicting ideas and information with regards to Autos and how to determine when to chop.

Do all trichs amber? Does milky replace amber at times? Is milky an intermediate stage between clear and amber?

TIA, Barliman. Ps, my lady's all bent over but I'll get my string out and measure her. :D

I can follow up with a pictoral representation of a DD lady that is probably past ready to chop. With autos I just wait until no more new pistols and chop after say a day or 2 of no new ones. The important thing I look for is the shape of the calyx. I want to see a nice swollen calyx that looks a lot like there's a seed in there but there's just a big sack of TCH and resin waiting for me!!

Like in this pic - look in the center of the pic there's a calyx tear drop shaped with orange hairs - thats what I want to see, I'll be chopping this little lady down Friday AM - full moon day. This will be psychedelic after a good month cure <-- very important must wait for a proper cure - FTW:

Happy 420 everybody... be puffing up some of this vvvvv here in a few minutes   Yay buddy!

Well BB, looking at your pictures and listening to you, I figure I've another week or two to go with mine. She's at Day 68 right now.

Mine has a sweet berry smell.

Thanks Camo. I'm a little obsessed with training right now.

I'm going to pop a Sweet Seeds Red Poison auto this weekend. Anyone mind if I post a weekly update of her here? She's related maybe? :)

I'd have no problem with that. They are related. I'd like to watch one grow to compare the similarities and differences.
