All caught up and I have to say there's been some really interesting information posted in the thread. The post by Conradino mentioned earlier in the thread was actually directed at me as I was looking into going organic for the first time and all the different recipes and science surrounding them were getting me lost. That one short paragraph was the best advice that I have ever received regarding turning to organic, I have a plant growing with that recommendation in mind and it is by far the most beautiful and stress free plant that I have grown yet, with a stem that's thicker than my thumb and solid, plus the buds are a good size compared to my last grows of that particular strain. It's amazing how one short paragraph can change what was becoming stressful work back into an enjoyable hobby again, one that actually works too
Back on topic I can't believe I missed this thread for so long, I really need to get out of my subscriptions and into new posts a lot more in the future. I Harvested two Dark Devil auto's around the beginning of January that I grew in what I'll refer to as 'starter organics', basically Canna Terra Pro prebagged soil and organic nutes. Unfortunately I had to pull the plants a little earlier than I would have liked Due to work starting on my house, but damn their smoke is unlike anything I have ever smoked. I don't know whether it was the strain, the 'starter organics' or a mixture of the two but it hits cleanly, and it hits hard! I gave some to an old grower friend of mine and he agreed that it was completely different to anything that he had tried previously (he's an underground 'commercial' grower and everything is synthetics, flush, quick dry (no cure) and out for sale). It was funny really, two grown men giggling away whilst he's trying to tell me about his brain tingling.
This was that particular harvest, I think I got around 22grams from 2 plants but I'm no green fingered gardener by any means so I was happy that they made a harvest, but the smoke as I say is of real quality.
One of the buds after curing (really solid feeling to these buds)
How it looked in the jar in comparison to my other grows:
The end result of trying these was that I already have another two growing in my veg tent, which says enough in itself as to how much I enjoyed them. I'll get some photo's of the two girls up when I next get to the tent (never takes too long as I'm always 'just checking up' on the girls)
All the best everyone and thanks for making the community grow not only a great read, but a great experience with a wealth of information too!
Exquisite Kraize and how glad am I that Conradino's advice was so helpful to you. Those are some gorgeous pictures sir. Excellent work on your end.
It was that incredible buzz that got me so excited about growing the strain. Unlike anything else I've had. Good enough that I've grown it more than anything else.
Good to have you in the garden.
