Slowing down on water usage, getting her fall colors going... We're going to flush her for at least two waterings and see where that gets us.

Coming up behind. :laughtwo: Mine's at 24 days now and shooting right up. Under this new Timber Vero 240 light panel she's the tallest and most vigorous of the six charges I now have growing. I topped her the other day and now I'm going to let her run wild and see what she and the light can make happen. I think I'll keep the closet as my designated Dark Devil Auto grow space. :blunt:

She's sharing a space with her sweet seeds sisters, Jack47, Black Jack, Killer Kush, and Jack47.

2 gallon smart pot of a slightly hot version of Coots soil(started in the jiffy plug) given a light General organics feeding with Grow, Root, and CaMg. Shared Under 115w of 5000k led then will be moved to 115w of 3000k led.

Want to see what she produces for me in a small 2gallon pot. Could pack my closet full and get a nice haul of some quality sweet organic purple bud.

Dark Devil Day 15 Soil topped with a little worm castings and more soil, watered in with a little general organics CaMg & Diamond Black(potash&humic acid).

Didn't think about quoting myself for each update until I saw RTK's. Great idea and could backtrack to my first post from the last with the little quote arrows. Good stuffs :thumb:

Just dropped(and lost) a dark devil seed, also I dropped a dark devil INTO the cup of water. Hope she is a good phenotype, been looking forward to this one for awhile. I'll keep the thread followers posted on the pics when the time is right.

KiG :green_heart: cheers

I'm gonna have to drop another seed today. Current one broke through the soil dragging it's seed shell by the cotyledons one has already broken off and the other is snapped but not detached. Any bets on it surviving? So far this dark devil is my nemesis... 0 for 2 so far, at least I got one free one with the 3 I paid for. Lol sigh... Better luck for this next one I hope.

Thanks Atulip! I did it the first week with the intention of deleting it before I hit post, but then it hit me that others might appreciate the comparison week over week and as you've said, it makes it dead easy to pop back to each post.

Sorry to hear about it bud. Any chance it wasn't quite moist enough? The usual technique to remove a stuck shell is to moisten it first, so I'm wondering if maybe she was too dry to shed the shell.

I've taken to planting at the deep side of the recommendation with a very small tap root, and keeping the soil above moistened at least every 6 hours. We kept having sprouts with the seed casings and/or membranes stuck when going shallower and having a longer tap root.

When they come out hauling the shells I always put a drop of water on it and leave it alone for a couple minutes then remove using a pair of toothpicks. It happens enough that I've gotten quite adept at it. :laughtwo:

I'm sorry to hear it's giving you fits. If this one is still in dirt I'd let it go a bit to see if it recovers. It's exasperating, I know. I had two Carnival seeds do that to me this time and never did get one started. Oh! I should do that sometime this week or so, shouldn't I? I keep forgetting it's a perpetual and I need to keep planting. :laughtwo:

Hi. I had this problem.

I now plant each seed one knuckle deep in freshly watered soil. Gently cover over.

I then cover the pot with cling film / saran wrap and poke a good few holes in it.

As soon as the baby's up, saran wrap is removed.

I've not had a single shell 'stick' using this method.

HTH.

:Namaste:

Burying deeper seems to fix all stuck shells for me. 1/4"-1/2". 1/8" deep is where I'd probably see the helmet rise up. I push the seed in wet soil, cover with dirt, then lightly water. Haven't seen one stick since burrying them deeper.

Wow Rifleman!!! Damn!! Look at those colas! I can only hope. :laughtwo: She looks contestant worthy to me. :battingeyelashes:
