@stoneotter I REALLY love the color of the plant in the third photo with the hand. My best DDA plants have gone past dark purple to that blackish color and the leaves on those particular plants were a darker green then usual. That's a beauty!!

They're an interesting plant. No two alike so far as far as ones I've looked at. Maybe the one you talked about. The real short black one. Here is a photo of the top bud on the odd looking (what we think ) DDA plant. If I just go by the bud color I would confirm it's an odd looking DDA plant. Because she clearly is already showing some purple.
And even that top bud section is unusual for a DDA. At least compared to those I've grown.
Ok so they don't throw nanners after 65 days or any other odd thing. That's good. I ran a Lemon og Candy a while back that Philosopher seed said to flower early. I found that one pheno of it went way sativa in it's growth and hit the roof if I went longer. I just wondered if there was a hidden treat somewhere.I actually grow mine for a shorter period of time then a lot of the other growers on 420. I tend to harvest mine at around 80-85 days. This particular plant is being grown in organic soil which is the first DDA I've grown in anything other then hempy. The soil has malted barley in it which reduces the flowering time of my plants by about 7 days on average. So we'll have to see what happens. This plant being a little "freakish" might not be the best example though I'm thinking.
It sure is crazy the differences. It's like someone took their dna and stomped on it then lit it on fire before shooting it from a cannon across the grand canyon. It's going tobe a blast testing them! They're starting to become pleasant smelling now. One was/is skunky the others not so much, just getting to sweet floral now. Maybe a chem note on one. They're 40 days so it won't be long.@stoneotter, lovely, lovely, lovely plants.
I found it fascinating that they’d all look so different when I grew more than one at a time. Your tent must smell divine!
I like the idea beez put forth about harvesting at different times. You have a prime opportunity to determine which level of euphoria you prefer from DDA.
I’ve taken them past 100 days, but I really love the zippy buzz I get when I harvest just as the trichomes flush to cloudy across the plant. When I see red oil in the top stalks I know I’m close.
Never had a nanner express in a single DDA grown. It’s pretty stable genetics from that standpoint.
40 days@SweetSue LOL...…...and as a rule that zippy buzz is found "on average" how far along in the grow? 85 ish days?
I've got to think you've got at least another 40 days. Be patient LOLThey're 40 days so it won't be long.
That's a fantastic idea beez. Something like that anyhoo.@stoneotter I know that @SweetSue likes to harvest hers on the early side. I can't remember exactly how early so maybe she'll chime in. But I do know she harvests early because she LOVES the racy high you get with the earlier harvest. The first one I grew I decided to wait till I saw all cloudy trichromes. Well that doesn't work so well when you start seeing purple trichromes. There is another guy on 420 who has grown a number of the DDA plants and I believe he lets his go till around day 100. It's one of those plants that if you pay attention it will just tell you it's ready to come down. And if you've got four of them why not take one at 75 days, one at 85 days, one at 90 days, and the last one at 100 days and see which you like best for future reference?
40 DAYS? NO WAY. She said 40 days?40 days
Oh I think so. I can see right through them. If they firm up there's going to be some good bud. It's like feathers now.I've got to think you've got at least another 40 days. Be patient LOL
No wait. My plants are 40 days old. My bad. She said she likes to see purple go to the top of the trichs then chop.40 DAYS? NO WAY. She said 40 days?
Yeah its a green. It did start to show a touch of purple right at the end but not much to speak of.So is that one of the elusive green phenos? Or am I not seeing the purple on my monitor? If green I'd be anxious for the smoke report.
