Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

How beautiful! Good God, you’re a talented man! :adore:

I wish I were there to smell this one at harvest. We need some way to capture smell for later investigation. :laughtwo:

Well done beez. :high-five:

Dark Devil auto day 90
In the final push to the finish line with DDA
Still trying to get her and MOB back on track but she has kept putting on the bud even looking as fried and crispy as she does.
Still loads of white hairs popping out so not close to ready yet.

Knifemaker I've never got a DDA "big" I've only been able to get to 15" and most of mine are 8 inch. so I'm jealous  You have more patience than I:thumb:
I just wish she hadn't gone all funky the last couple weeks. I'm sure it would have gotten fatter if it werent for these issues :-(

Dda day 96
we seem to be out of the woods now, altho she still looks crispy it's not getting worse and is actually putting out new green growth.
Watered today with trans drench and tea
Starting to see some purple! Just a little bit but its there lol
Also seeing some amber trichomes, even with just the zoom on my cell phone camera. Would like to leave it go for a bit longer as she just started making gains again after being unhappy for the past few weeks.
One more week and I'll check again.

I've grown several Dark Devil auto plants and none of them looked like this one. She is at sprout +33 days today and should be getting ready to start flowering looking at that one picture she looks like she is starting to flower. I'm noticing that she has long branches and those branches do not have all that many leaves on them. No topping or training was done on her, just au natural. On Tuesday she'll get more room in the veg box which might help her fill out some. I hope @SweetSue sees this and can chime in whether she's grown one similar to this one.

Here are some pics taken today.

Looks like a nice natural spread on her.

I believe they are 9 days since sprout. I just gave the first RO water. The plan is to use MEga Crop but after reading here I think I may scale back amount I feed. Any advice is appreciated.

I've grown a handful of DDA plants, in hempy pots using Mega Crop 1.0 At that age I would be adding 1.5 grams of the MC to 1 gallon of water. When they were in the range of their 6th node I would ramp up to 2.5 grams of MC per gallon of water. When flowering started I would move up to between 3.5 grams and 4.5 grams (plant dependent) with 4.0 grams being a good average of what the plants wanted. Of course you're most likely using MC 2.0 LOL

Yes but that gives me a good base to start. Anything after reading how sensitive they are this helps. Thanks.

Well as with any information gained here on 420 don't take what I said as gospel. That is what works for me, growing in pure perlite. I could have different temperatures, different lights, different lighting schedule etc.

Wow that’s a crazy one Beez!!

@Knifemaker420 she looks really thirsty to me! Also the lights might be too much for her? Or maybe she wants more food?

@beez0404, I’ve never seen one like that. You’re familiar enough with the seeds that I won’t even question whether they got mixed. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Odd how she looks nothing like a DDA in leaf structure. I wasn’t aware that this pheno existed. Good thing you document so beautifully. :kisstwo:

beez knows his stuff. His DDAs put mine to shame. :battingeyelashes:

Is this your first DDA Hydroholic?

yes. Also my first Auto run. I’m excited about these more than I have any so far.

Well Sue actually I did mix the new DDA seeds in with the old DDA seeds. So perhaps the person from whom the DDA seeds originated (who had all those crosses) might have accidently dropped a seed other then a DDA into the packet? She's starting to flower so I'll be keeping an eye out for some purple. Not definitive proof she's a DDA but helpful info.

The seed I dropped was the distinct color of a DDA seed.

Talk about differences, here's my 4. All very different. The two that look similar couldn't be more different in smell and amount of budsites. I can't wait to get to tasting.
