Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

Update on my green DDA Day 57. I got worried when I read that they only go for 63 days max. Mine does not look ready to harvest so I asked my resident expert Beez and he talked me down. I guess I’ll let her run until I see the trichomes I want, cloudy? Probably another month for sure, she is still so fluffy and has only been flowering for 38 days.

Now I was stretching her out and turned my quad into a tri...so I thought. The break was literally hanging by a thread of outside plant skin. I immediately dug into my grafting skills and taped/supported her branch. I really didn’t expect it to make it but this was two days ago and I do not even see one dead leaf on that branch today at checks. What a resilient auto!!

What's up gang? Darla is looking amazing and smelling ever better. Today she got another feeding. No more grow nutes all bloom and a few other things thrown in for her.
Her stretch has seemed to stop, holding steady at 10.5in and starting to gain weight like a fat kid.
Tomorrow her oldest fan leaves will come off along with a couple in the middle. From there she'll go untouched until harvest.

Hey everybody, i chopped one of my girls a little over a week ago and got her all jarred up tonight so i figured id post a few pics. I got a total of about 2 oz from her but this is only 1.5 because ive been enjoying her already. Lol but im hoping to get closer to roz from my green girl when she gets done doing her thing.

Glad you asked. Lol i just posted this to my journal and i suppose ill share it here as well.

JOURNAL UPDATE/ SMOKE REPORT

So most of the purple girl has been in jars for about a week now, so i figured id post a smoke report about her so far. I will mention thats i suck at trying to describe senses when it comes to cannabis, But i figured id give it a go anyways.

Taste wise to me its an earthy/ berry taste to it, but is still has some of that plant taste as well as smell, thats is until you put it in a grinder, then the smell comes alive! When grounds its has a strong smell of berries, and a strong almost gassy smell.

The high i get from it is more of an uplifting, yet space-y high. I get motivated to do things but then i start spacing out half way thru it. Lol i would recommend this as as after work or weekend smoke.

I know that it has definitely not reached its full potential only being in a jar for a week. But i am still loving it. These are my first autos and i will definitely be growing her again if for nothing else just for the sexy looking buds and she has made me want to try more autos. But over all she left me not quite satisfied, so i am going to continue my quest searching for my favorite strains.

That is about where I am at with DDA. Which isn't a bad thing at all. Good enough to use for breeding. Good enough that I didn't give much away and dont have any left to smoke. Lol. 8 beans left.
 
My little DDA @ Day55 from sprout and day30 with pistils. I've never grown anything with such beautiful color. My wife said her buds looked black from a distance. I can only describe her smell as maybe berry funk lol.

She has been flowered under 12/12lighting with my photo girls, due to insufficient veg lights. That won't be a problem again, thanks to a very good friend. So I started another DDA to see how she grows under correct light schedule. Will post pics of her tomorrow. She got me hooked lol.
 
@Orlando Scout remember Darla being about a week behind? Shes at day 47 now day 31 of flower. Looking at your pics I'd say we have the same pheno with very consistent Genes. Very cool.
Only two difference are, some of Darla's pistils started changing color overnight. Hoping at least another week until I saw orange pistils. I need her to triple her weight. Lol
Also Darla has been under 18/6 since seed. Would yours have been the same I'm pretty sure you would have a monster!!!
Are her colas Bic sized yet?

Checking Darla this morning her leaves look an off green instead of her dark green blue hue and some tips starting to burn slightly. No worried about it since she's had no breaks from feeds since week 2. Next watering will probably be in 2-3 days with a good flush and finished off with a light feed or just phd and CalMag.

Mine is starting to get orange pistils as well, but only a couple so far. Her main cola is a little larger than a bic with side branches catching up quickly. DDA is such a fascinating strain to grow thats for sure!
 
My DDA cross test plant. 9cm pot full of mostly gravel. ( Columbian Red Point x Unknown) x DDA, very much purple and stinkier than my DDAs. She is very pollinated by her late brother.
