Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

My little DDA just went into her 6th week of flower under 12/12 lighting.

I was planning to run a SSDC and a DDA in the upgraded veg closet, but I couldnt get the SSDC to germ. So DDA it is, she has some funky growth so far, but its early on hopefully she grows out of it.

Newty, I’m pretty sure I’m remembering this right, had the experience that her DDA absolutely took of when it went from a veg to flowering lighting schedule...

Thank you @Sideshow Bob, shes actually got maybe a berry inscent smell starting to come from her. I can't wait until harvest either, I'm pretty sure were right about the same time frame today is Day 54 from sprout for mine. Im wondering how long she will go before finishing being under 12/12 instead of 18/6? Her trichs seem to be starting to cloud up with the base of the trichs being purple. Her color is so fascinating under the bud scope!

Yup today is day 53 for Darla. Very sticky and smelly also but no cloudy trichs yet. I would say Darla easily has another 3 weeks. So much for taking an early sample on the 18th. No Christmas smoke for me. Lol
 
I think the 12/12 has sped up her finishing times just a touch. Im sure yours will have a much heavier bounty for your extra patience, and will be worth the wait!!
 
My last two went 63 days in flower. When they start to go cloudy they take off pretty fast.

Hey beef up substantially during the final couple weeks. I’ve had a couple go pretty long Bob. She’ll tell you when she’s done. Just before it’s time you’ll notice a shift in her perfume.

At my last apartment I grew them in an open closet. The smells would waft over me in the evening, just before lights out. Absolutely delicious! :battingeyelashes:

Lol exactly. I notice the smell the most in the morning. Like she's saying hello with morning breath. Lol Except it smells like a little kid who woke up and ate a bag of candy first.
 
Mine seems to over power the rest of my girls with her lovely berry scent at lights out. The wife said our whole room smells like berries at 7pm every night, no candles needed! The photo girls seem to smell more at lights on.

Its 7 days old today.

In 25 gallon Radicle bags filled with Buildasoil Modern mix 2.
Rootwise microbes
ThriveN aminos
Coconut water
Aloe Vera water
Gro-Kashi
Optiveg for chitin
Gro-Sil for silica

I have 2 plants in each pot, only one is a Dark Devil.

She’ll end up stealing the show Nunyabiz. Lol! Especially in LOS. :thumb: :welcome: to the community grow. Who’s her companion? She’s probably gonna try to take the whole pot. Lol!

Her pot mate is an LSD-25 auto

And I ran lights for two days mostly blue spectrum at about 290w at 24/0
The past 5 days and until harvest i am running full spectrum and just over 600w and will stay on 20/4 schedule.

Iam not sure why so many are running autos at 12/12 that's really putting a dent in yields and potency.
Should never be less than 18/6 minimum.

My other pot is a Gorilla Glue #4 auto and Honey Peach CBD auto.

I can tell you what is the best sure fire cure for even an epic fungus gnat infestation.
Hypoaspis miles predator Mites
Rove Beetles
And a dose of Gnatrol BTI every 3 days

Within 3 weeks even the worst gnat infestation is under control.
 
I have run the DDA at 11/13 and 12/12 from seed. No complaints here on yield or otherwise, although I am sure I lose something along the way with yield. I dont have a dedicated auto space so I just toss one or two in the tent with my photoperiod girls every now and then.

DDA is a real treat to grow. My phenos have been dark purple showing almost black against a lush green backdrop. Also, very tasty
