Just my home testing with the plates

GDP had more THC, but I'd say it came in, DDA , around 14-16% THC ish

Yes someone like @SweetSue has it up near the top of her list of her favorite strains and I believe she feels the potency of the DDA is quite high? The stuff is potent and tastes good. I will grow more. Alot may have to do with my first DDA being fully pollinated. This last one experienced major trauma from poor ph practices. My wife loves the stuff.

Not sure if light hours can determine potency. I also ran an SSDC under short days and was absolutely amazed by the potency, effect, and flavor. The problem may be all me and not the strain.
 
I have two of the Sweet Seeds that I will be planting in the near future to make S1 seeds. I was looking at the Sweet Seeds site just last night and was surprised to see they say the plant is ready 8 1/2 weeks after germination. That is just slightly more then half the time I ran mine. If Sweet Seeds says they should be ready in 60 days (they all seem to fib about length of flowering) I think 11 weeks seems more likely no? But don't a lot of you run the plant 100 days before harvesting them?

I really liked the buds I harvested at 11 weeks. The lowers I left for another week and not sure there were any gains besides a little weight perhaps.

Quick update. Today is Darlas 4 week birthday (28 days). Yesterday I clipped off all the major fan leaves that weren't getting much light. She actually didn't seem to mind this time:yahoo:
Maybe another two days and she'll have another feed. Here she is though.

this Isn’t DDa related but I am asking cause I know there some experienced LED growers here.

I just got a new 450w LED. Now I’m wanting to add it into my flower tent beside my 600wHPS to finish off my big girls in flower.

...... But I had some questions regarding the “acclimation period” and need someone who’s experience with LEDs to help!! Lol

Ok so before I just rush in and put this new LED above my EM who’s well into flower now. The owners manual says to give the plants a 3-5day acclimation period at 10-14hrs per day with only “VEG” switch on at a height of 36-40” above the canopy. Now.... the time is fine at 12/12 but my question is the acclimation period can I put both bloom and veg switch on to make sure I’m keeping the higher red spectrum? Or would it stress the plants!

I would think you can just hang it and crank it up. More light is more better. I added a blurple led to my 4000k QBs and no ill effects. I switched from CFL/blurple to those QBs with no acclimation time either and the plants were only happy.

Thank man. Yea I added it in adtergetting some more information as well! I’m late into flower so as long as I don’t see any stress over next day or so I’ll bring it down to maximize the output!

Just about all the DDA I've grown show sex around Day 21 and stretch until Day 45. Harvest rolls in when they are at peak fatness just before showing decline. Day 95 to 100ish.

@ScHydro What can you share about your green pheno plant? How does it smell compared to it's purple sister? Also, you're just over 11 weeks from germ. Do the plants seems ready to be harvested? If not why not. Sorry for all the questions. I just love the Dark Devil plants and try to learn all I can about them. I've not had a green pheno yet.

So far the the only real differences ive noticed so far is the green leans more towards a sativa, while the purple looks more indica. The purple also has more of a strong "cleaner" smell if you will. To me thats what it almost smells like some kind of fruity scented lysol or something but in such an amazingly pleasant way!! The green has a similar smell but it smells more of the fruity to me and less of the cleaner smell. I prefer the smell of the purple one as of now. I cant wait to see which one tastes better. And no id say that they are about 2 weeks from harvest based off of tricombs still clear. And some of the pistils just started darkening a couple of days ago. So its looking like both of these girls will be ready as most, between 95-100 days.
 
Okay, thanks so much for sharing that information. I have two Sweet Seeds Dark Devil seeds I'll be growing out in the near future to try to make more seeds.
