Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

Wow! Turn my back and the pages fill with delight!

:bravo: gentlemen. :bravo:

@Blew Hiller, I watch for the trichomes to flush cloudy all over the plant. She’ll develop red oil in the trichome stalks. Are you seeing that yet? Chris’s pictures look like mine did, only better. Lol!

I’ve had them go 100 days. They were worth the wait. :cheesygrinsmiley:

She is a beauty. :high-five:

@lazyfish ...... dang, how I envy you the ability to grow one outside. Nice shots.

They were all nice shots. Gosh....when I started this thread I could only dream......

I’m very satisfied with all this joy focused on these beautiful plants. I’m also learning that they don’t like to be topped. Lol! My topped one is running so far behind she may end up as an early harvest FHO if she’s not careful. I only have about 50 days to get them in.

They couldn’t look more different.

DDA 8 hasn’t gone verticle yet and she hasn’t bloomed. I don’t know what she’s waiting for. Lol! Her leaves are green.

DDA 9 has blue-green leaves and she’s been in full bloom for over a week now. I’m pretty sure I’ll get her far enough along to be worth the time.

I’ll be relocating in the next two months and hoping to get these in on time.

Nice catching up :) It’s been months since I was here. It’s a very pretty place, ill remember to stop by more often! NIce looking Dark Devils everywhere :yummy:

@Pyr0 that one of yours is gorgeous, are you growing that outdoors?

:Namaste:

Thanks. Yes I am or should I say was growing it outdoors. I came back from a weekend festival late on Monday. I normally pop her in the greenhouse if there is any chance of rain and we had a lot of rain but I had left her out. Got hit with a big clump of bud rot on the main cola, lost around 1/3rd of it. So panicked and harvested straight away.
She had been a little over 12 weeks so I wasn't going to leave her much longer.
I haven't weighed her yet buy will cob some of it later.
Will also get some post harvest pics.

Peace

That is exactly why I issue each of my outdoor girls their own umbrella. You can't always get them out of the rain.

Haven't looked at her yet today but this is DDA day 16 (yesterday) since this pic I have added 2.5ml calmag to the 1tsp maxibloom per gallon. Hopefully that will clear her up

I always forget to show off on this thread. I get caught up in all sorts of different places, lol

Well see it would pay to show off on this thread. There is nothing wrong with your plant. Two of mine have shown a little variegation on a few of the leaves. I could be mistaken, but I do not see your leaves as having a deficiency or toxicity. Just some lightly variegated leaves . That one leaf is a little funky but everything else (to me) looks fine.

I've never had any plants do that to me unless something was starting to go wrong. Interesting. I read a lot, and I have heard they are calmag gluttons. She did look a lil bit perkier this morning... But.
I will feed the rest of this gallon tonight. Maybe do 1.25ml on the next one. If no changes I will drop it altogether. Seems a good enough way to give myself peace of mind. Lol.

I've seriously never seen that on healthy leaves before. Hmmm, genetic trait I suppose.

Weird stuff man. Learn something new every day on this forum.
I will still do the slow back off on calmag. No need for extra expenses. But better safe than sorry. Don't find many folks using maxibloom by itself these days, so I am just winging it. Lol.

RH has been crazy high here (just broke yesterday) and I kept an eye on the flowering autos...boom...saw some rot and decided to harvest 2x of them...just as I was finished I checked on the DDA and saw something resembling the same, so I chopped off the 2x main colas and let the rest continue on...not really sure if I was imagining as it is hard to see on the deep purple buds...but better safe than sorry...she looks fine 3 days after the snip....

@SweetSue I'll check for the red oil....

I’d have to agree with beez. I have veriagated leaves on mine and that color of green is common in my garden with my DDAs in the early stages. It changes to almost blue green as they mature.

I also applaud the addition of more CalMag. Hempy under these lights seems to require generous helpings of CalMg.

@Pyr0 ..... so sad to hear you had budrot. :5. Glad I am that you still have enough to cob. That cob I had a taste of at Chris’ still haunts me. Lol!

And yet I wonder now if maybe it was unnecessary. My last 8 plants didn't show deficiencies until so close to harvest time I just left them to finish.

Yeah... I don’t even notice deficiencies any more. Lol!

I was all messed up when I saw the coloration of DDA. I had my pH strips, my nutes, measuring spoons, dug out the calmg, sitting at the kitchen table like a mad scientist, wife shaking her head telling me it will be fine. Lol

You got nice, rich colors Blew. Glad you caught it before rot. :high-five:

I was noticing how differently our leaves are staining. Mine stain from the center out a dark and inky stain. Yours look completely different.
