The ride is the fun part dont get me wrong but now that everything is going so smooth I'm just sitting here watching lol.. I want more to do..but won't have the funds for a while as I'm gonna be laid off for the winter. And I have the stuff to rig up another setup but no lights.. I might just do some experiments with random lights like car headlights or something I can find.. So I can still have some fun without spending money.. I just had a crazy idea ..my buddy has a tanning bed in his basement that is adjust sitting there I wonder if I could separate the lid and base stand them up and grow in the middle of it.. Heat would be a huge issue..hmmmm

Us if I was gonna use cfls I would probably use pat999s little diy rig he set up in his new little tent he built.. Pvc framing on 12 sockets. It looked very nice and bright.. And cfls can veg their ass off but in flower the plants will be un happy, they need more and my flower tent is already booked up for a grow after this one is done.. I just need to slow down. But its not in my nature..I wanna go!

Update.
So I dropped the light to about 10" and they reached for it.
lol I had to move them up today..lol I was having issues with the plants being different heights.. so I moved grootys light up a little more than l.a. and bent grootys main branches over...lol she is a fatty!!!
these 2 ladies are now taking up more than half of my 5x5 lol..

Hi DankP Im no expert but I'm wondering if the pots are perhaps getting small given the size of your girls?
A diy project for you might be to make some cloth pots out of burlap or hemp cloth.

No worries oldbear.. I'm in hydro so a cloth pot would be terrible for me . and on my next run I was thinking about running 18 gallon res. With 2 plants in each and running 3 of them but only if I go RDWC. So all 6 girls would have 9 gallons for their roots..but I couldnt fit 6 this big in there and 4 plants is too many eggs in one basket in my opinion. And then if one plant had something wrong the others sharing water would get it too. 5 gal. Res is fine for now. In hydro you end up with a root ball and the bigger the better but there is a lot of other things to consider.. Like res changing huge containers full of water.. So it really depends on your setup.. I have seen ppl running 3 gal. Bubble Buckets and getting great results.

Wow guys.. I defoliated a little more...maybe shouldnt have, but they were blocking light..lol the girls are looking great.. fat and hairy just like I like em' hahahaha
I'm really excited about grooty in full bloom. I think I might replicate her training .. I did her and Lucile differently and decided to stick with Luciles method...But I dont know anymore ...I find myself just starring at grootys structure..it looks like art.

I hope so!! I am a little worried about breakage later on.. I have a feeling she will be tied up all over the place.. Might have to stop by pats for some s&m notes

Ya she does.. I didnt follow the nute sched...lol.... this is gonna be long but I would really love some opinions..
Ok.. I decided to POUND grooty with bloom nutes.. Lol like I'm not even gonna say how much. it is probably a noobie mindset..ill explain why afterwords, But ...
I wanted her transition to flower to be as harsh as possible not smooth.... I didn't do any constant darkness. Nothing. I attempted environmental shock basically.
Here is why- after all I have read on here and elsewhere; I'm convinced cannibis is a firm believer of "what doesnt kill you makes you stronger". It seems the more you stress it ,the more potent it becomes.. Or stronger as a broad term. Like its will to survive(produce) gets stronger. Examples go on and on.. Topping-backbuilding- supercropping ..and as long as you know how to handle it and bring her back its BENIFICIAL.
Now, I do know that flower is not veg and she cant heal herself as well but in those first couple weeks I believe she can.
This is hard to explain as a noobie but by stressing her really hard at the biggining of flower..for lack of a better way of explaining it.. I attempted to naturally flush her, by getting her to use the remainder of veg nutes to heal while the bloom began to fill her up. So she wasn't without what she needed.. Just tired and overworked.combined with stress and light change (cycle and added a light with different spectrum). Now she is really resting HARD during those night cycles for the first week and the day and night are drastically diffferent even though temps and humidity stay the same..
I did not do this with l.a. I flushed her like normal and gave normal bloom nutes by the bottle. (However as they share a tent she didnt get any dedicated darkness before flip either)
Ok predictions? Thoughts? Answers? Lol feedback of any kind to rest my curious mind. I am curious enough to try it but will be very upset if I kill her.. But she seems to be doing great! But I cant help but wonder if what I did helped or hindered her? And what I could potentially cuase in the future by doing this? Both look very healthy and similar to me ..as if it didnt matter?

Only one way to find out, go for it and lets see how she does
Lots of things could happen but hopefully she will react positively.. watch for burnt tips. First sign she is getting too much and cant take it. She looks really great now!

Hahaha ok I have to write this some where..
Sometimes I have the funniest one liners to other peoples post. Like a funny movie quote but if you haven't seen the movie I would look so odd to people or rude.. So I dont write it.. And just crack up laughing and carry on.. But this pains me because in life I'm the guy who will get 5 steps into walking away or biting my lip and I just cant help myself!!!!. And then my mouth gets me in trouble... So this forum is helping me grow as a person lol.
