I gave powdered milk a go and it left a film on the leaves that wouldn't come off. I didn't notice much growth compared to my normal foliar spray. Except for the film I didn't notice anything bad from it.
 
I guess its the sugars from the milk that the plant loves when its in flower. And from what I was reading there are a few other benefits.. I read that a major farm.. Ran tests and on a 2 identical crops in strain and number of plants. They gave one powdered milk and the other potassium. And phosphorus . they said that the plants giving powdered milk with no supplements of p or k did on average 20% higher yields..than the plants with no milk just regular bloom nutes.. I know I'm digging for the link now.. Un believable right..
 
I remember reading that Dank P I think it's why I tried it, if I were going to put Powdered milk into the soil, I would brew it in a tea to control the bacteria that grows.

Basically I would mix up a 5 gallon bucket with whatever dose is recommended for 5 gallons for the plants, mix in 2 cups molasses, then in a nylon or what have you, I use a filter bag, I would put in a cup of alfalfa meal, a cup of high phos guano or worm castings twist it up and hang over an airstone, in the bucket till there is a thick foam cap and the tea is ready.
 
There is like this moment every once in while, that makes me feel like time doesn't exist..like everything is right. I have that feeling now. I'm sure,.... Sour chaos has nothing to do with it. Or the fact that I recieved an email response from Neil @Black diamond perfect sun!!!!! To be honest I feel starstruck. I'm just happy he wrote me back. I'm humbled to be a part of this community and this experience is getting better all the time.
 
Hey so just a though about moving the lights up. Have you considered moving them down? I understand wanting to induce stretch, but I always notice the specs for lights saying they can be closer in flower and have a smaller foot print for flower. Don't know if that means they should be but my thinking is the plant uses a lot of energy to make buds (I assume) so maybe giving them more light will help them stretch? I dunno honestly just got me wondering haha they look great to me! You should expect lots of great nugs w. All those flower sites!
 
I like they way your thinking.. I started thinking that too but I have heard of growers lowering lights to combat stretch in flower.. But ill try it why not.. Everytime I find something I'm not sure about I start testing...lol.
Side note how crazy would I sound if I told you guys I got rid of the thrips with my bare hands and nothing else.. Just combing her with love for a week And I havent seen any in 2 days.. I was trying to contain it until I got neem but I no longer think I need it.. I know, I know, eggs right.. I have got to this point before and then all the eggs hatched... This time nothing.

I'm gonna keep her seperated for a while longer to make sure.. Probably gonna get neem anyway.. I had never delt with thrips before so I almost didnt take the clone.. But I figured I was going to bump into this eventually, so I invited the problem in.. I know I'm crazy right. Just on a crash coarse for learning anything and everything I can. Inviting any situation I can learn from.

And ya I started small too if you give the journal a read through you will see I came from nothing..eventually all you need is a quality light!! And as for smell I got a carbon filter off amazon and it works wonders not just for smell but for heat. And air flow by circulating the hot air from the top of the tent out and it pulls fresh air in from the bottom. There are also little cheap smell absorbing packs and candles you could buy that would work for a small flower session, but not permanent. And tons of diy options as well. Glad I could help :) this forum is amazing and there are TONS of growers on here that could help so much more than little o'll me.. Very interested to see what your experiment shows! I certianly wasn't trying to say closer worked better in my experience, but it just really got me wondering haha. I remember hearing too that sativa tends to stretch more, and indica less. But again I wouldn't sweat it much cause your girls look great! Regardless of stretch I think you'l have a most beautiful and plentiful harvest
 
Thank you so much and lights lowered. One of the main colas on grooty is under like a spot light lol.. But I did the hand test and it wasnt hot so imma let it ride until further notice. See what happens!

that "spot light" is the cross hatch of my 2 lights angled towards eachother.. Looks like a good thing to me..

My next upgrade will be a light. I'm trying to save up for a light that will work as hard as I do for these girls...but those cheapies are working for me pretty well I have to say I'm impressed.. The 2 lights together were under 230$ . but right now I'm running multiple timers and extension cords so the lights will turn on separately, so they wake up and go to sleep properly.. And they just dont have the penetration my girls need..(lmao) and now I have a light per plant basically but when I have 6 ladies in there. I dont think they will cut it. I need a better light preferably one light rated for my 5x5 with a veg and bloom settings..and then ill use my current lamps as supplemental lighting.. Ahhh dreams...
