Curso's True High Brix!

I ve been making bubble that way for 3 years now bro, its not better than the machine, you dont get as much material out of it that way and you have to do smaller batch's, have fun adgitating it by hand, you will probably have to do it 3 times, 15 minutes of vigorous stirring the first rd then 2 more with 10 mins each of stirring:)

I used a paint mixing attachment for the drill. It just leaves a shit ton of plant matter in the water.

So my flower tent...Man these plants are digging this light, my buds seem to double daily. Its really a pleasant change, things seemed to take forever to develop under the 600w lamp. They'll get the second spray of bloomit today with a really light cat drench saturday.

The veg tent is what it is right now. The plants that I have in there were under 12/12 from seed, so it's going to take them a minute to start vegging. I am going to give them a feeding of energy and spray them with stress soon.

It seems my beans have been held up in chicago for 6 days now...I'm a little bit iffy on them making it to me at this point. I might have to crack a couple Pineapple Skunk in the mean time, I don't want to fall behind in my plan.

Hey Curso,
Just wondering if you have a good transition tea recipe you could recommend?
I've always just done a flush, then started with an even balance of synthetic nutes to kickstart flowering, then ramp up from there.
But Organic is new to me.
Planning to flip sometime next week, and want to have a plan..

I will always suggest T&J enterprises tea w/Yucca ectract. It takes any guess work out and ensures you have high quality reproducible tea, that is 100% right every time.

I like how much you play around with the kit and bloomit as well. I am amazed at the effect of adding the cat drench in the last weeks of flower. What differences are you noticing with the LED versus HPS? Can you tell a difference yet?

Well, the buds are developing at a faster, fatter rate. They just look thicker this time around. Otherwise it's just a ton more light than I had previously. I'm thinking that the lighting differences will really show in week 6 and on. Once they start to develop trics we'll know how well this is doing.

Thanks Curso,
I'll look into it..
Just don't know if I could get my hands on some within a week.

I have a feeling you will be pleasantly surprised. Your journal is turning into a wealth of info. This is the place to be, lol. :thumb:

Just sharing the experience :) what works for me might not work for everyone. Everyone needs to learn to apply what they learn to suit their needs. Nobody has the same environment and as long as we all realize that, we're good. (disclaimer...lol)

Although I do enjoy sharing what I come up with ;) I have a feeling your right that I'll be pleasantly surprised. I'm looking forward to seeing if my hunch with LED and HB is right or if I was just stoner dreaming of super triced out buds...

Haha....it's pretty obvious your plants like the LED's. I'm certainly paying attention!

I was hoping you might write up a little tutorial on your use of Bloomit and timing of drenches, etc? It will add some vital info to the "movement" and raise the bar for us all.....which means better weed, which means we did our jobs and served our fellow earthlings.....

I am so sorry for this random post....Just smoked a large nug of Herijuana and I'm in a different frame of mind than usual.....in a very good way. Off to a wine maker dinner, armed (green) and dangerous.....and no, I'm not driving.

Thanks Curso!

I can most certainly do that for ya Doc. Those wine dinner's you attend sound like a blast. I did mention coming to see ya to my buddy. We'll see what we can do after the Auto Show ;)

I'll pm ya later today Doc :)

Okay so lights came on this morning and I found a tiny bit of bloomit damage (I'll post a pic in a little bit of what it looks like) and could see a bit of residue on my leaves, which leads to more damage. So...I mixed up a really weak bottle of brix (.25oz:1qt) and "washed" the residue off. I used brix lightly because its a brix day and I know it's a little bit acidic which should help dissolve the dextrose residue that is left behind from the bloomit.

The Ak cross (we'll just call it that for now) that hadn't gotten cat drench has now I also added 2tbls of Epson salt, just to see what'll happen. I have no rhyme or reasoning for it, just plain old curiosity. Call me George if you wish...It's believed to be a diesel crossed pure AK...it does smell much more like fuel than AK ever did in Hydro. So the better performing plant is being treated a bit differently just because I can and it's what makes the world turn, a bit of fun. If we dont try stuff we'll never know how it works, right?

I'll take a pic of the damage after the brix dries up...

Okay here they are...

Bloomit damage. I am happy this happened so I can show you guys/girls what it looks like. It's very common with this stuff, especially if mixed to strong. I believe the monsoon might have played a role in these being damaged.

This is the residue I mentioned in my previous post.

Now this is to me is what a plant looks like when it is in need of Cat drench. Notice the color of the leaves, they aren't dark green and shiny like the rest of my plants. Also notice the size of the bloom. This is week 3 of bloom. I count my flower cycle when they have shown sex. People can argue all day that we should count from the flip I DO NOT CHOOSE TO DO THIS. I do have my reasons but I have found this works best for me. So this technically is week 3. This plant has been sprayed 2x with bloomit and has now had cat drench + epson salt and tea. @ .5oz cat drench, 2tbls epson salt and 3qt of water. She'll get the same drench in a week.
