Curso's True High Brix!

When in the day is the best time to test brix? At or before lights on or after?

If you want the highest readings, test when lights have been on for 2 hours. However, I find that I'm always taking readings when I prune, which is almost always in the dark cycle, due to my work schedule. As long as you take the readings at the same time you can make accurate comparisons.

Anything over 12 is going to be great. Once you get up to the 15's---my highest is 17----you know you've something very special.

My grow has been busy today, the transplanted GSC & CVK got trained, took some clones off both strains and sprayed them all with some stress. The larger of the 2 GSC I have flowering was blowing roots out of the bottom of the pot, so she got transplanted into a 5gl and had the branches pulled down. The flowering CVK and Skunk47 are finishing up, fast too. The CVK is just beautiful!!! Purple/pink on it is amazing, honestly I'm blown away when I take them out. They'll both come down sometime this up coming week. I kinda went pic happy with the Chem Valley Kush and didn't take the Skunk47's out today. They all got what I am hoping is their last watering and sprayed with some stress.

Brutha...you are kicking ass and taking names. Gorgeous flowers.

BTW, finish with Brix...packs it on, swells 'em up.

After a good wash, I predict that will be the best weed you've ever handled or smoked.

Thank you Doc!!! I'm blown away with all the late flower plants. I agree that is going to be the best smoke I have had or handled for sure. 100% sold on the kit bro!!! Nothing but another kit can reproduce the results I am having. Like I said, these GSC's have a really tough act to follow.

Brix it is:)

I just ordered the 2nd run kit :high-five: I really enjoy the ease of the kit and the results are honestly speaking for themselves in my grow. I might have to order some new beans to go along with it.

Ever thought of doing a sativa landrace gentics before? I thought doc might have said about them being good with high brix.

The Skunk 47 is~ pure skunk x pure ak (world of seeds), so it's close...lol I have thought about a landrace sativa, however...I have the patience of a 4 year old and they take just to damn long and I am extremely height limited. I have the quite a few Pineapple Skunks but I think following GSC with that, it the tough sell. We'll see, I have 2 of the PS in flower now, 12/12 from seed to check them out.

Curso! That CVK is prefect. You have things dialed in my friend. BlazinThat: I am growing Laughing Buddah right now in Doc's kit that is supposed to be about 12 weeks. We shall see.

I cant stop looking at those CVK. If they smoke as good as they look you will be in space...

What are your night temps like?

Thanks bro, I expect the same from your Laughing Buddah ;) I'm hoping for space :) or at least a really nice dumb ass grin :tokin:
I was really blown away too when I pulled them out and really had a look at them. These Skunk47's are taking on some color now too, nothing like the CVK, but a nice shade of purple.

What are your night temps like? I am running about 68 at night. Might be a little higher in the summer though.
I'm not sure to be honest. I broke my meter and never bothered getting another, everything seems inline. I know that the root temps are cold, when I stick my finger in to check moisture, it's chilly in there. It still gets in the low 30's here at night and wife still has window wide open. True story; it gets cold enough up there that I've slept with a toque on...lol I'll guess and say in the low to mid 60's probably on the lower end. I try to keep the air pump for my res close to the out for the exhaust, so they at least have warmer water going into them.

Late but subbed. Beautiful nuggetry mate! My kit should be here today maybe tomorrow, excited to get cookin

Skunk 47's came down yesterday, got washed and are hanging to dry. Their space got filled by 2 gsc 1 that was in a 5gl that was topped and the mutant. One of the GSC that has been in flower (in a 5gl pot) is showing sex and happily staying right where she is.

Here's the Skunk47, they were showing some amber tric's, some is more than enough for me. I know it's good smoke, however, I wouldn't grow this strain again the buds are pretty airy. Maybe had it flowered in the 600w its full cycle I would have a different opinion.
I did vape a couple popcorn buds that were dry. It's a fantastic buzz, we'll see what a good dry and cure has to do with it. Their mom was surprisingly good, so I expect the same from these.

That Skunk has some sativa looking buds. That's awesome. Did you try some unwashed buds or did you jump straight to washing?

I trimmed the bigger leaves then washed it, they had been sprayed with brix fairly recently. You kinda want to get the residue off. They're really airy, I think most of it is going to become some high brix hash.

I have had both washed and unwashed of the skunk47 the first time I grew it, the wash makes a pretty big difference.

I'm pretty excited today, new kit showed up :high-five: The 2 gsc that are vegging in 2gl pots will be happy to get a fresh dusting of Roots, followed by some transplant water, in their happy new 5gl home in a couple days, or whenever I harvest the CVK. Which are finishing up really fat, they're packing on tric's now and swelling up pretty nice.

Indeed it is. I use to wash with a lemon based mix but it was imperfect and tended to leave a residue that would snap crackle and pop occasionally. I tried docs mix lascrop and can honestly say ill never skip that step again.

I was going to try a product we use on produce called Victory wash, but the lemon juice/ soda mixture is fantastic, so I haven't bothered.
