Curso's True High Brix!

I forgot a pic there. This pic is after the wash and hot/cold rinse. After I washed the branch in the lemon juice/soda/water, the first rinse was in water hot enough to steam, bath water basically. The cold needs to be at least 40 degrees lower than the first rinse. I found that holding a branch in the "hot" water for 15 seconds and then the "cold" for 30 seconds gave the best color. Basically the time in the cold has to be double what you had in the hot. Don't skip the cold...it stops the "cooking" process and you might end up sorry if you do. (not sure what will happen, I know what happens to vegetables when you let them "air cool" they turn to mush).

YaY!!!!!! This Chem Valley Kush just ended up being awesome!!!! Beautiful bud's, great lemon pledge stench, dense and frosty. What me could I ask for. Aside from another couple of those plants, but that isn't going to happen so...I am more than happy with what I have :)

Is the lemon pledge smell from the wash? Or is that the natural smell of the CVK? Were all your plants like that?

Someone showed me some bud last week and when I opened the bag it smelled like lemon pledge and it wasn't that appealing to me, smelt to much like a chemical.

It's the CVK (SFV OGK x Chemdawg VII). It's more of a lemon head candy now that they have dried up a little bit. They all had good color and really frosty. The color was just much more subtle in the other plants. The CVK had good color in the T&J soil, nothing like this though.

I really like the CVK if the one in veg happens to end up being a dude, I am happily going to put him in my mom tent with a GSC.

It was Doc that came up with the wash I can't take any credit for thinking in that direction. I just added a culinary twist to it :) I don't have RO here so tap water is what I used. I don't mind and if these meds were for anyone but myself and a friend or 2 I would have used better water (the chlorine in the water is nice to be honest, really, really, really weak bleach water)

woot!!!

looking simply beautiful! excellent work! :bravo: :goodjob: *takes notes on CVK strain* ;]

reps 100%

Thanks Alk!!! CVK was a fun plant to grow, I really enjoyed growing it and would buy more seeds if I had to, any Cali Connections really, I noticed they have Blue Dream Haze (S1) now, that is on the short list.

I took 6 more clones off that really strong GSC I have flowering, before it was to late. I really want to run this plant a few more times (gives me 8 to pick from) I also threw a CVK clone into the flower tent to find out what sex I am working with. so I can plan accordingly.

I got some cages & customized them to fit and tied up the GSC's & CVK that are vegging. I transplanted another GSC into a 5gl pot today (w/roots & transplant) too, she got a cage and got strapped up to it. I'm going to veg them for while longer maybe another 3-4 weeks. It'll really depend on space in the flower tent. Hence the cages ;)

I took all the trim from the first run soil and made a couple nice balls of bubble hash. I can't wait for it to dry, it smells great and should be an interesting buzz, I hope its like a suicide slush from DQ.

It's absolutely amazing what can be learned here if you're in the right place at the right time.
I agree 100% Doc!!!!
If someone is sketchy about trying it on their hard work (Don't blame ya) it's pretty simple. Go to the Grocery store and buy some asparagus, steam it for 1 1/2 minutes then throw it in some ice water. ;) It'll go from pale green to a rich vibrant green :high-five: its the same concept but a much colder hot and warmer cold because our plant is thinner stemmed and leaf and the process can be done better at a lower temp with out blowing out the produce.

The only thing people need to keep in mind is that the ice bath can knock trichomes off the buds. Be careful!

On the other hand, these high brix buds have excess resin in the first place. Who cares if a few thousand triches go missing? (I'm serious....just take another hit if a person worries about trichome loss from washing.)

I hope Cannasensei tries this:

After washing a couple pounds, what would happen if the wash water was poured through some bubble bags and re-washed a few times? What would THAT hash be like?

That is a fantastic idea...

Doc is 10000% right, use the coldest water possible if you are worried about it, these leaves are so thin (comparatively) they'll "shock" in really cold water.

Today (no pics sry) everything in flower got some transplant water and a spray of brix. The two Sour Diesel #2 that are on week four got the cationic drench for the first time today. They had the kit usual, nice week 4 frosting, we'll see what they have to say in a couple days. Everything else is chilling, the CH9~ Toxic Blue 33 showed its colors and she is a keeper, I took the bottom four branches off her as well, I am guessing that she is going to be the surprise plant of this grow. It's a bit of a mutt but is basically a blueberry jack from what I gathered, we'll see. A true Jack is on the top of the order next list. The mutant GSC has two branches, one of them is growing three branched nodes, it should be an interesting flower cycle for that plant. The Pineapple Skunk are....what they are...one I probably should cull and the other is growing at a normal rate, after watching the HSO video on the tude, I should get some amazing color off these plants. Cheese Candy Auto is very unimpressive so far.
