Crimson Grows

Lignite Blue,
“lignite the fire”

lmfao!

3 are inside the tent, these 2 just germinated today. They are gonna be inside in a couple of hours too. 5 out of 5 on the lignite blue seeds. Incredible considering these were just in a flimsy mini zipbag, sitting on the table for the last couple of months. So the 250+ in the fridge should be ok! Hahah.

Well this time i’ll once more do a 12/12 but without the stress. Because last run they have been subjected to every conceivable stress inducing situation and no hermies or anything. Just beautiful buds. So now lets see what they can do in the quality department. If that satisfies my needs then i’ll do a full run with 20+ seeds and pick a dedicated mother to stabilize some traits etc.

I’m gonna learn as i go and you can all join in if you like. Hahah.

...And here are my flowering crosses

2 Dinachem S1s. Neglected from the start. No feeding. Got transplanted into this pot with 2 other plants. Those 2 are way ahead in flowering and they actually revegged in the 3rd week of flower so they are really fucked up but they look awesome.

Dinachem S1s. Stress run.
No hermies so far. Since the transplant into these 5 gallon smartpots (15 days ago) with “depleted soil” they look much happier and actually much greener too. So even after growing 180-190g plants, there was still much nourishment left in the soil. Well with proper care i suspect these S1s are gonna be just as good as their parent.

Here they are, my precious Destroyers. Coming along nicely. It all seems cool so far. 2 Lignite Blue haven’t really broke soil. I’m gonna give it 1 more day and if nothing happens i’ll just germinate new ones. When seeds come cheap one gets careless.

And here are 2 Lignite Blue, in depleted soil. Still no feedings or anything. Not bad.

Your gunna have a full house in there even with just the 8 plants!

Yeah i’m kinda on the fence about replacing those 2 Lignite Blue. Maybe 8 would be more comfortable. On the other hand how big can they get with straight 12/12?

Well lets see what happens but either case it’s gonna be sweet and a true test for my lights. If this setup can grow landrace sativas without a hitch than i’ll never spend money on any other light! Haha

More photos of the Lignite Blue i harvested early. 2 sub-par phenos are still going but they are not as juicy as this one. One is still revegging in fact and got totally over shadowed by its neighbour so i’m not sure what’s gonna happen to it. I’ll post those up too. Just lazy. Anyway, these were shot with a canon 400D. Shitty old dslr. Hahha.

Caramel colured ones on the sugar leaves and just a universe of sparkling stars in the middle. Again a very neglected and even abused pheno. Very nice plant. Kudos little fella for growing up to be such a lovely plant.

Great pictures crimson!

mans it’s hard to say how big they will get, because they won’t fully flip into flower until their mature enough.. could be 2 weeks, could be 6, I’m really not sure. How big is your grow area again? Could you get away with(let’s say) 12” squared area per plant, at (let’s say) two-three foot tall per plant?

Well bro i did 6 per tray and the results were good. It was a pheno run much like this. I wanted to pick out some mothers and that’s basically what i’m doing atm. These are tiny pots when you think about it. Not sure about the actual volume of medium it holds but it’s less than 1 gallon. Closer to half. So i don’t think they will get that big but still it’s a 120x120 tent (4’x4’). So i can always cull the experimental plants on the back and spread these out a bit more. Well, we’ll see. I’m not after yields this run so i think it’ll be fine either way.

After seeing those caramel coloured trichomes i’m now thinking of changing its name to Blue Caramel. Sounds delicious! Rofl.

These gals are strange. They started with their first true leaves almost completely yellow and they are barely light green now. I don’t know if it’s a sativa thing or somethings off with them but time will tell. Overall not looking bad tho. Also they are developing a bushy structure which is good for me and unexpected for a sativa.

And here are the Destroyers. They are looking better everyday and tomorrow i’ll add a pinch of epsom and kelp. That will boost their growth i’m sure. By the way still very bushy growth with big light-green leaves. Looking a bit droopy but it’s really fine, i was expecting them to be a little unhappy in my environment as it’s winter over here. However, this is just a pheno run so i’m not after yields i just want to pick out some mothers.

Also there are some deformations on this one and another one has patchy leaves but these are all genetic and i’m not bothered by any of them.

Pheno run in depleted soil. No feedings at all and they don’t need it. I harvested about 200g of dry weed from each pot and these went straight in, no top-dress, no nothing. I’m impressed by the amount of nutrients left in the soil after growing that much bud. I mean look at these.

4 went in. I’m using these pots again. They worked well for me in the past. Also in the background, i transplanted the plants from my test run into the pots of the priorly harvested plants. It has been about 4-5 days. Drip irrigation without nutes in depleted soil. Dinachem S1s look very nice and one Blue Kush x Dinachem cross looks very good eventhough it revegged for a week in the 3rd week of flowering but that happened to both of them. Other one looks cool also but still a bit reveg-y. I’ll have to take individual photos just as soon as i’m done with this germination stuff.

I was looking for this post. This is what they looked like when they got transplanted. It’s been a month.
